Como todos sabemos el mundo esta atravesando por una pandemia que nos esta afectando desde diciembre del 2019 y que hasta la actualidad aún estamos luchando para salir airosos de esta terrible enfermedad como lo es el covid-19, los científicos de diferentes partes del mundo se dieron a la tarea de fabricar vacunas para protegernos de esta enfermedad y así el mundo quede inmunizado y poder volver a tomar nuestras vidas normalmente.
As we all know, the world is going through a pandemic that has been affecting us since December 2019 and that until today we are still struggling to get out of this terrible disease such as covid-19, scientists from different parts of the world were to the task of manufacturing vaccines to protect us from this disease and thus the world is immunized and to be able to return to take our lives normally.
Actualmente estoy en Venezuela, país que al igual que muchos están vacunando a su población, me encuentro específicamente en la Ciudad de Cumaná, Estado Sucre, para serle sincera sabía que en mi ciudad estaban vacunando pero no sabía donde y como sería el proceso para vacunarse.
I am currently in Venezuela, a country that like many are vaccinating its population, I am specifically in the City of Cumaná, Sucre State, to be honest I knew that in my city they were vaccinating but I did not know where and how the process to get vaccinated would be .
Les cuento que el 07/06/2021 recibí un mensaje del número 74224 a las 10:45pm donde me decía lo siguiente “En el plan de inmunización contra la COVID-19, usted ha sido seleccionado para colocarle la vacuna. Para colocar vacuna debe asistir al Hospital Universitario Antonio Patricio de Alcalá el día 08/06/2021 a las 8am (Para V cédula). Es decir al siguiente día de haber recibido el mensaje debía ir a vacunarme. Realmente me sorprendió muchísimo y dije no dejan que uno se prepare psicológicamente 😃😃.
I tell you that on 06/07/2021 I received a message from the number 74224 at 10:45 pm where he told me the following: “In the immunization plan against COVID-19, you have been selected to administer the vaccine. To place the vaccine you must attend the Antonio Patricio de Alcalá University Hospital on 06/08/2021 at 8am (For V ID). No pude asistir a vacunarme el 08/06/2021 como se me indicó, pues como les comente en un post anterior me encontraba aún con malestar de salud y la verdad sentí temor de vacunarme así. Entonces dije esperaré a que me sienta mejor para asistir al proceso de vacunación.
I could not attend to be vaccinated on 06/08/2021 as indicated, because as I mentioned in a previous post I was still in poor health and the truth was I was afraid of being vaccinated like that. So I said I will wait until I feel better to attend the vaccination process. <
El día 12/06/2021 ya me encontraba bien de salud y me dirijo al sitio indicado a ver como sería el proceso de vacunación y si podía vacunarme ese día, les cuento que yo me hice una película en mi mente, pensé que debía madrugar en una cola interminable para poder optar a la vacuna.
On 06/12/2021 I was already in good health and I went to the indicated place to see how the vaccination process would be and if I could get vaccinated that day, I tell you that I made a movie in my mind, I thought I should get up early in an endless queue to qualify for the vaccine.
Resulta que al llegar al sitio me encuentro con un escenario muy distinto al que me esperaba, una organización que aún no salgo de mi asombro, las personas que atienden muy amables. Yo fui a preguntar cuando debía ir y me dijeron siéntese y espere que recoja las cédulas si usted esta en sistema será vacunada. Se encontraban 2 espacios uno para las personas de 60 años en adelante y otro espacio para menores de 60 años.
It turns out that when I arrived at the site I found myself in a very different setting than what I expected, an organization that still has not come out of my astonishment, the people who serve very kindly. I went to ask when I should go and they told me to sit down and wait for me to pick up the cards if you are in the system, you will be vaccinated. There were 2 spaces, one for people aged 60 and over and another for people under 60 years of age.
Me senté a esperar que recogieran las cédulas y esperar mi turno, las cédulas la recogen para verificar en sistemas que estés en la programación del plan de inmunización, al cabo de 10 minutos recogieron las cédulas y a los pocos minutos luego fui llamada a vacunarme.
I sat down to wait for the IDs to be collected and wait for my turn, the IDs are collected to verify in systems that you are in the immunization plan programming, after 10 minutes they collected the IDs and a few minutes later I was called to get vaccinated.
Al entrar al lugar donde vacunan estaban aproximadamente 10 espacios donde atendían a cada uno de los que iban llamando para llenar una planilla con el nombre, apellido, edad y los datos de la tarjeta de vacunación. Además de indicarle a cada persona que no debían consumir bebidas alcohólicas ni cítricos por aproximadamente 48 horas y de presentar algún malestar general solo debían tomar acetaminofen.
Upon entering the place where they vaccinate, there were approximately 10 spaces where they attended to each of those who were calling to fill out a form with the name, surname, age and the data of the vaccination card. In addition to telling each person that they should not consume alcoholic or citrus beverages for approximately 48 hours and presenting any general discomfort they should only take acetaminophen.
¿Cúal vacuna estaban colocando?
Estaban colocando 2 tipos de vacunas la Sputnik V, desarrollada por Rusia y la Vero cell desarrollada por el laboratorio Sinopharm de China. La sputnik V se la estaban colocando a los de 60 años en adelante y a los menores de 60 años le estaban colocando la Sinopharm, que fue mi caso a mi me vacunaron con la Sinopharm. No pude tomar foto exactamente del momento de la vacunación porque todos lo presentes se encontraban ocupados para hacerme el favor de tomar la foto, solo pude hacer esta cuando preparaban la vacuna.
What vaccine were they giving?
They were placing 2 types of vaccines: Sputnik V, developed by Russia, and Vero cell, developed by the Sinopharm laboratory in China. The sputnik V was being given to those aged 60 and over and those under 60 were being given the Sinopharm, which was my case, I was vaccinated with the Sinopharm. I could not take a photo exactly of the moment of vaccination because everyone present was busy to do me the favor of taking the photo, I could only take this when they were preparing the vaccine.
Desde mi experiencia el proceso de vacunación fue realmente rápido, sin mucho estrés y angustia, pues como les comente y les mostré en fotos fue un proceso realmente organizado. Cuando me hablaban de vacunación me hacia la idea que solo tendrían acceso a ser vacunados un pequeño grupo privilegiado, pero me di cuenta que no habían personas adultas de todas las edades que al igual que a mí les llego su mensaje con la programación de su día a ser vacunado.
From my experience the vaccination process was really fast, without much stress and anguish, because as I told you and I showed you in photos it was a really organized process. When they spoke to me about vaccination, I got the idea that only a small privileged group would have access to being vaccinated, but I realized that there were not adults of all ages who, like me, got their message with the programming of their day to be vaccinated.
Con respecto a los síntomas post vacuna desde mi experiencia solo fue un pequeño dolor en el brazo por 48 horas, del resto todo realmente bien, esperando que para el próximo 12/07/2021 cuando tengo que colocarme la segunda dosis pueda contarles una historia similar.
Regarding the post-vaccine symptoms, from my experience it was only a small pain in the arm for 48 hours, the rest everything really well, hoping that by the next 07/12/2021 when I have to get the second dose I can tell you a similar story .
No sientan miedo de vacunarse por todas las cosas que se dicen sobre las vacunas, miedo nos debería dar no estar inmunizados contra esta terrible enfermedad (Covid-19) que ha tocado de cerca a muchas familias. Y recuerda estar vacunado no te excluye de poder contagiarte contra el covid-19, así que igual debemos de cuidarnos y mantener las medidas de bioseguridad.
Do not be afraid of getting vaccinated because of all the things that are said about vaccines, we should be afraid not to be immunized against this terrible disease (Covid-19) that has touched many families closely. And remember, being vaccinated does not exclude you from being able to become infected against covid-19, so we must still take care of ourselves and maintain biosecurity measures.
