Happy afternoon friends, I want to wish you all a blessed and productive week.
La Orchila is one of the most beautiful islands of Venezuela, however, tourism is not allowed on it, it can only be done with prior military authorization because it is not allowed to fly over civilian aircraft, this is because La Orchila is a military base.
I had the opportunity to visit this island, thanks to the fact that my younger sister is a pilot of the Bolivarian Military Aviation, located here in Maracay, Aragua State, Venezuela.
One day, in one of these military flights, they were given the authorization for the military to attend with their families (civilians) to a day of sharing, and it was then when I had the opportunity to travel with my sister to the Orchila Island.
For me it was a unique and wonderful experience, it was the first time I boarded a military plane, bound for a spectacular place that I never thought I could visit, the departure was from the Air Base El Libertador (BAEL), we were about 98 passengers between civilians and military, the flight lasted approximately 55 minutes. When we arrived at La Orchila there were houses near the sea with rooms for all the personnel working at the Military Base.
Seeing the island from the air is something ineffable, it looks so beautiful and in itself, its landscape is unique, the color of its waters makes it one of the best islands in the Caribbean.
The trip was a round trip, we left very early in the morning and returned in the late afternoon, but I enjoyed it to the fullest, from the flight to the stay on the beach, due to its calm tide, its white sand, and the peace that being in that place generated in me. Needless to say, I am a beach lover, I have been to many beaches, but this one has a particular touch, which is why I would go again if I had the opportunity.

La Orchila es una de las islas mas hermosas de Venezuela, sin embargo, no esta permitido el turismo en ella, solo se puede realizar con previa autorización militar porque no esta permitido el sobrevuelo de aviones civiles, esto se debe a que en La Orchila se encuentra una Base Militar.
Yo tuve la oportunidad de conocer esta Isla, gracias a que mi hermana menor es piloto de la Aviación Militar Bolivariana, ubicada aquí en Maracay, Estado Aragua, Venezuela.
Un día, en uno de estos vuelos militares, se les dio la autorización para que militares asistieran con sus familiares (civiles) a un día de compartir, y fue entonces cuando tuve la oportunidad de viajar con mi hermana a la Isla La Orchila.
Para mi fue una experiencia única y maravillosa, era la primera vez que subía a un avión militar, con destino a un lugar espectacular que nunca pensé que podría visitar, la salida fue desde la Base Aérea El Libertador (BAEL), fuimos como 98 pasajeros entre civiles y militares, el vuelo duro aproximadamente 55 minutos. Al llegar a La Orchila habían casas cerca del mar con habitaciones para todo el personal que trabaja en la Base Militar.
Ver la isla desde el aire es algo inefable, se ve tan hermosa y en sí, su paisaje es único, el color de sus aguas, la hacen ser una de las mejores islas del Caribe.
El viaje fue ida y vuelta, salimos muy temprano en la mañana y regresamos al final de la tarde, pero lo disfrute al máximo, desde el vuelo hasta la estadía en la playa, debido a su marea tranquila, su arena blanca y la paz que me generaba estar en ese lugar. Está demás decir, que soy amante de las playas, he ido a muchas playas, sin embargo ésta tiene un toque particular, es por ello que sin duda alguna, asistiría nuevamente si tuviera la oportunidad.
