Hello friends of the hive!… I am very happy to share with you again… After two weeks of vacation visiting my grandmother, my godmother and aunts, of course complying with all the biosecurity regulations. I returned home to resume my activities and while I wait for the notification of the start of distance classes I will attend to my plantings, today I will tell you about my new pumpkin planting that I did with the intention of having one available for Halloween night next month.
In the following photo you can see the size of the plant a couple of weeks ago, what I like most about planting pumpkins is that I just have to be aware of where they get tangled.
Although it is not difficult to harvest pumpkins, there are many things that I have learned with these practices ... such as: Most of the flowers are for pollination, that is, they do not bring pumpkins, like the ones I show below.
These flowers are completely ready at dawn and in the course of the day as the sunlight hits them they deteriorate, it seems that they are being sawed again, at that time the bees, wasps and cigarillos collect everything they can and in turn pollinate.
After the flowers comes the growth of the pumpkins which can be frustrating at times… and now I tell you why! I daily watch to see if a small pumpkin dawns, and yes; There are many that appear every morning, but in the course of the days they turn yellow and fall, in the following photos I show you.
My joy is great when I see that one of them continues to grow and reaches a good size so as not to fall ... The one that I show you below is the only one that has been saved so far, so you can imagine how many photos I take every morning and the days are falling.
When I went to my grandmother's house, the pumpkin was still very small and yet it was already located, when I returned I had to search between its leaves and the small banana plant, I was surprised to see its large size, it is great it is growing much! It was my expression.
