The Holy Island of Lindisfarne, Northumberland, UK

A few photos from a past visit to Holy Island, Northumberland for #monochromemonday initiated by @old-guy-photos.

Lindisfarne Castle is a 16th century castle on Holy Island, Northumberland, UK and is a National Trust property. It was vastly changed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1901. You can access it via a causeway from the mainland at low tide. Great views from the top.

I love a bit of recycling. Apparently, the local fishermen didn’t like the idea of sending old boats to the scrapyard, so they made them into storage sheds instead.

We are a throwaway society so I think this is a brilliant idea. They look great as well.
