Hola mis amig@s lectores, espero como siempre que se encuentren muy muy bien. Estuve un poquito ausente pero porque he estado algo ocupada aunque siempre pensando en contarles más de mis experiencias.
En esta oportunidad les contaré acerca de un restaurante que conocí el otro día llamado "Las Petunias" al cual fui con mis excompañeras de trabajo. El mismo se encuentra ubicado en el barrio de Palermo que queda más o menos hacia el norte de la ciudad, es un barrio muy bonito y donde habita mucha gente clase media alta o bien acomodada (digo esto porque en principio pensé que el restaurante era carísimo pero me lleve la sorpresa de que no es así).
Al llegar al restaurant vi que se encuentra ubicado en una esquina, con mesas afuera para los que les gusta comer al aire libre, no es para nada lujoso pero la entrada es bastante linda, cuando entras se ven varias mesas y el área de parrilla y donde arman los platos, muy limpio el lugar, las mesas bien acomodadas y limpias. En cuanto a la música me llamó la atención que combinaban estilos musicales no tan comunes en este país como lo es salsa y bolero, algunas chacareras (música tradicional Argentina), aparentemente los que atendían son una mezcla de venezolanos, colombianos y argentinos así que genial.
Hello my reader friends, I hope as always that you are feeling very, very well. I've been a little absent but because I've been a little busy but always thinking of telling you more of my experiences.
This time I will tell you about a restaurant I visited the other day called "Las Petunias" where I went with my former work colleagues. It is located in the neighborhood of Palermo which is more or less towards the north of the city, it is a very nice neighborhood where many upper middle class or well off people live (I say this because at first I thought the restaurant was very expensive but I was surprised to find out that it is not).
When I arrived at the restaurant I saw that it is located on a corner, with tables outside for those who like to eat outdoors, it is not at all luxurious but the entrance is quite nice, when you enter you see several tables and the grill area and where they assemble the dishes, the place is very clean, the tables are well arranged and clean. As for the music, it caught my attention that they combined musical styles not so common in this country such as salsa and bolero, some chacareras (traditional Argentinean music), apparently those who attended are a mixture of Venezuelans, Colombians and Argentines so great.
La chica que nos atendió muy amable, se llama Iris y es paisana de los Andes venezolanos, en cuanto a la comida había más o menos variedad de platos, postres y bebidas, para comenzar pedimos una limonada mientras que esperábamos a otra compañera que llegó tarde.
The girl who served us was very kind, her name is Iris and she is a fellow countrywoman from the Venezuelan Andes, as for the food there was more or less a variety of dishes, desserts and drinks, to start with we ordered a lemonade while we waited for another companion who arrived late.
En cuanto a la comida pues todas pedimos pollo a la parrilla con papas fritas el cual estaba muy rico aunque un poquito pasado de sal, venía con una guasacaca o como es conocido guacamole que estaba espectacular y una criolla que no es más que tomates, cebolla, cebollín y perejil picado en cuadritos muy chiquititos y aderezado con jugo de limón que le daban un toque especial y muy rico a todo el plato.
As for the food, we all ordered grilled chicken with french fries which was very tasty although a little over salted, it came with a guasacaca or guacamole which was spectacular and a criolla which is nothing more than tomatoes, onion, chives and parsley chopped into tiny squares and seasoned with lemon juice that gave a special touch and very rich to the whole dish.
Luego de comer todas, mientras conversábamos decidimos pedir postre, yo pedí un flan porque estaba llena con el almuerzo y el flan no es tan pesado, una compañera pidió un mousse de chocolate que estaba muy rico pero muy dulce y otra compañera pidió un brownie con bola de helado que al parecer es bastante común. El flan estaba suave, cremoso, no muy dulce, el caramelo un poco líquido pero con muy buen sabor, no estaba quemado y realmente se deshacía en el paladar.
After we all ate, while we were talking we decided to order dessert, I ordered a flan because I was full from lunch and flan is not that heavy, a companion ordered a chocolate mousse which was very rich but very sweet and another companion ordered a brownie with ice cream scoop which apparently is quite common. The flan was soft, creamy, not too sweet, the caramel a little liquid but with very good flavor, it was not burnt and really melted on the palate.
Fue un almuerzo diferente con una comida sencilla pero super rica llena de mucho sabor, los precios realmente para la economía de este país no estaban excesivos, la atención estuvo como dicen aquí de 10 y en líneas generales el restaurante es excelente, ideal para compartir con amigos y/o familiares con un ambiente bastante agradable y donde se te pasan las horas sin darte cuenta ya que te sientes muy cómoda al estar ahí.
It was a different lunch with a simple but super rich food full of flavor, the prices really for the economy of this country were not excessive, the service was as they say here 10 and overall the restaurant is excellent, ideal for sharing with friends and / or family with a very pleasant atmosphere and where you spend the hours without noticing because you feel very comfortable to be there.
