How We Seem To Assume Our Futures To Be As Kids

This has been a common kind of thing in Nigeria. Growing up as kids, many of us have always wanted to be well-known and recognized workers in the country.

Some wanted to become lawyers, bankers, pilots, Navy officers, presidents, etc.

But growing up a little, the mentalities of becoming those people changed, not because many wanted it to be that way,but because of the system of the country.

I feel in other countries they help you build your professions from your upbringing as a kid; they study what you love doing and have lots of passions for—the area where you're more active and extremely good, etc.

And then they help you build the area you urge to know more about and that you're more passionate about.

Be it music, sports in general, be it football, basketball, etc., law, being a pilot, and many more.

They help you achieve those goals you're eager to know more about and make it easier for you to know the profession you want to go into while growing older.

And this has literally helped lots of them grow and not be confused at some point in their lives.

But in my country, Nigeria,I really can't say if they help in that area of one's life. Rather, you'd even get more confused and get neglected by some teachers and guidance on becoming what you want to become in life.

There's always a difference between you doing what you love doing and getting paid for it compared to you doing what you literally aren't into like that.

You're just doing it to get paid and survive with the funds you get from there. The difference is always very clear, because it's always like you doing what you do without passion.

And that affects you a lot because you would deliver less compared to how you'd want to deliver when you're doing what you're really passionate about.

Except if you're opportune to come from a family that is rich or if you were born with a sliver spoon, it would make it easier for you to know what you want.
And it will also help you achieve your goals and set out ambitions for where you'd like to be in the near future.
Compared to coming from a family with a poor background, your parents would want to force you into professions they feel are going to make you something great in life.

Not the one you've always wanted to become. They'd have to decide for you, and that alone has misled many young people into being confused about what they really want and what they want to become.

They've been pushed around since their upbringing. This minute you want to become a lawyer; the next minute a professor; the next minute a farm; and the next minute a spare part seller or full-time businessman😂😂😂.

It's just so funny, and at the end of the day, most of them end up becoming, for example, "Lizzy Cake","Folake collection😂", "Anike Pre order😂", and many more.

And most of them just end up not knowing what they really want for themselves again at the end of the day.

Which isn't supposed to be like that; they're supposed to help us build our professions and pursue our careers, not the other way around.

But rather, you'd see a law student who ends up being a farmer,or a farmer who becomes a banker,or an engineer who ends up becoming a Keke Rider, etc.

We just hope everything gets better and greater and we don't end up making the same mistakes as the older generation already did.
Rather, they should help build the upcoming generations. The leaders of tomorrow should help set out a great and brighter future for them.
Thank you for taking the time to go through my post, and I also look forward to seeing more of your contents and posts.
