This weekend I had an experience that I want to share with all of you. It was a special moment, one of those that are not planned much, but that end up filling the heart with joy and gratitude. My best friend came to visit me, and although it might seem like a simple meeting, for me it was much more than that. 🥰 I was home alone, fulfilling some personal responsibilities that have kept me a little busy and, to be honest, also disconnected from the world. Lately I have not been so active posting daily on the blog, and I have not been able to go out much either because the economy has not been so fluid. But despite this, my best friend insisted on seeing me. And how could I say no? August 5th was my birthday, but I had not been able to celebrate it with him or with other friends, so they decided to come to my house to spend some time together.
Este fin de semana viví una experiencia que quiero compartir con todos ustedes. Fue un momento especial, de esos que no se planean mucho, pero que terminan llenando el corazón de alegría y gratitud. Mi mejor amigo vino a visitarme, y aunque podría parecer una simple reunión, para mí fue mucho más que eso. 🥰 Estaba sola en casa, cumpliendo con algunas responsabilidades personales que me han mantenido un poco ocupada y, para ser honesta, también desconectada del mundo. Últimamente no he estado tan activa publicando diariamente en el blog, y tampoco he podido salir mucho debido a que la economía no ha estado tan fluida. Pero a pesar de esto, mi mejor amigo insistió en verme. Y, ¿cómo podría decirle que no? El 5 de agosto fue mi cumpleaños, pero no había podido celebrarlo ni con él ni con otros amigos, así que decidieron movilizarse hasta mi casa para pasar un tiempo juntos.
What touched my heart was the effort they made to be with me. They came home with everything needed to prepare hot dogs, a simple but loving gesture. My best friend came with another friend and two more friends, creating a small group that filled the house with laughter and conversations that seemed to never end. We spent the whole night talking and enjoying those delicious hot dogs that they prepared themselves. It was an incredible night, not only for the company, but for the feeling of reconnection after so long without seeing each other.
Lo que me tocó el corazón fue el esfuerzo que hicieron por estar conmigo. Llegaron a casa con todo lo necesario para preparar perros calientes, un gesto sencillo pero lleno de cariño. Mi mejor amigo vino acompañado de otra amiga y dos amigos más, creando un pequeño grupo que llenó la casa de risas y conversaciones que parecían no tener fin. Pasamos toda la noche hablando y disfrutando de esos deliciosos perros calientes que ellos mismos prepararon. Fue una noche increíble, no solo por la compañía, sino por la sensación de reconexión después de tanto tiempo sin vernos.
The next morning, after a good rest, we got up and made a breakfast that was the perfect excuse to continue enjoying time together. Arepas were the perfect choice, we shared stories and moments of our lives while eating. But the most magical moment of the day came when I decided to take them to the garden.
A la mañana siguiente, después de un buen descanso, nos levantamos y preparamos un desayuno que fue la excusa perfecta para seguir disfrutando del tiempo juntos. Las arepas fueron la elección perfecta, compartimos historias y momentos de nuestras vidas mientras comíamos. Pero el momento más mágico del día llegó cuando decidí llevarlos al jardín.
The garden, that corner of peace and connection with nature, became the perfect setting to continue sharing. We took off our shoes and, barefoot, began to walk among the plants. The sensation of the earth under our feet and the fresh morning air made us feel more alive, more connected to the present. We took several photos to immortalize the moment, although I think what really remained engraved was the joy in our hearts.
El jardín, ese rincón de paz y conexión con la naturaleza, se convirtió en el escenario perfecto para seguir compartiendo. Nos quitamos los zapatos y, descalzos, comenzamos a caminar entre las plantas. La sensación de la tierra bajo nuestros pies y el aire fresco de la mañana nos hizo sentir más vivos, más conectados con el presente. Tomamos varias fotos para inmortalizar el momento, aunque creo que lo que realmente quedó grabado fue la alegría en nuestros corazones.
It was a simple experience, without any frills or planning. But it was meaningful, one of those that reminds you how valuable it is to have friends who are with you in good times and bad. Friends who, even if they are not always physically close, find a way to make you feel special.
Fue una experiencia sencilla, sin grandes lujos ni planificaciones. Pero fue significativa, de esas que te recuerdan lo valioso que es tener amigos que te acompañan en los buenos y malos momentos. Amigos que, aunque no siempre están cerca físicamente, encuentran la manera de hacerte sentir especial.
I wanted to share this because sometimes, in the simplicity of everyday things, we find the most rewarding moments. And this meeting with my friends was one of them. Thanks to them, to their company and to those details that make life sweeter.
Quería compartir esto porque a veces, en la simplicidad de las cosas cotidianas, encontramos los momentos más gratificantes. Y este encuentro con mis amigos fue uno de ellos. Gracias a ellos, a su compañía y a esos detalles que hacen que la vida sea más dulce.
I want to thank my friends for making the weekend unforgettable. Even though we can't always be together, moments like this remind me how lucky I am to have them in my life. Sometimes the best celebrations aren't the biggest ones, but the ones shared with those who really matter. 🌿💖
Quiero agradecer a mis amigos por hacer del fin de semana algo inolvidable. Aunque no siempre podemos estar juntos, momentos como este me recuerdan lo afortunada que soy de tenerlos en mi vida.
