@flowerbaby and I drove 4 hours north to make our first ever visit to this amusement park during COVID-19 restrictions.
What a sizzling day it was this past Saturday, just outside of Pittsburgh at Kennywood. Both @flowerbaby and I love roller coasters, but neither of us had ever been to this amusement park before. We actually have never been to a place like this together at all yet.
This trip was amid a constant struggle for businesses like this to even be open, thanks to #covid-19. The mask mandate nearly drove me insane this day, that’s not what this blog is about though. Only thing else I’ll add about it is that several of the best rides were shut down due to these restrictions. Not much of it made sense to me. Thankfully we still had a great time.
We were inside of the park around 11am and did not leave until around 5 or 6pm. We experienced all of the adult rides that were online and exciting. Some of which we rode twice, the lines were not too long at all. Around 3-4 roller coasters were what we got to enjoy, plus a handful of other thrill rides. One of which was my favorite, the giant water ride. I swear the splash was unlike anything I had ever seen from the inside and out.
All in all I’d say we enjoyed ourselves quite a bit and burnt through a ton of energy. This park was nowhere near as good as something like Kings Island or Cedar Point, but it was definitely better than not riding rides like this at all. Being with @flowerbaby makes anything fun, plus this was just the start of our weekend.
