Hi friends, after the new round of Qurator`s Photo Quest related to pond life proposed by @qurator was published, I have been reviewing my photo library looking for photos related to ponds. After several revisions I have decided to rescue an old photograph from 2009 whose story I will tell you below.
The photograph submitted to the contest was taken in the pond that was at the entrance of the zoo "Loro Parque" in which you can see there were a lot of orange Koi carp and also some white ones.
Currently in Spain this species of carp is considered an invasive species, so for some years its marketing and sale is not possible. Therefore, I believe that visitors to this zoo will not be able to enjoy the colorful carp that I was able to immortalize in 2009.
