Ayer fue la competencia en traje típico del Miss Universo👑. Un show lleno de mucho color y trajes bellísimos. Ya les comenté que soy seguidora fiel de este concurso y veo absolutamente todo referente al mismo, así que hoy quiero contarles cuáles fueron mis trajes típicos favoritos y los que no me gustaron tanto.

Yesterday was the competition in typical costume of the Miss Universe👑. A show full of color and beautiful costumes. I already told you that I am a faithful follower of this contest and I see absolutely everything related to it, so today I want to tell you what were my favorite typical costumes and those that I did not like so much.

Para los que no son muy conocedores de esto, les cuento un poco de qué trata esta competencia: La competencia en traje típico es un show en el que cada candidata presenta un traje que muestre y representa la cultura de su país, también puede estar inspirado en la bandera nacional, la flor nacional, el animal nacional o cualquier acontecimiento, festival, fenómeno que se lleve a cabo en ese país.

Un traje hermoso inspirado en la Parihuana, un ave típica en cuyos colores se inspiró el libertador de Perú para crear la bandera nacional.

Tanto el concepto como el traje en sí me parece hermoso, además esta niña es bellísima y lo supo lucir muy bien, por ello encabeza mi top de favoritos.

El traje de Nepal me encantó porque no hubo necesidad de que explicaran mucho para saber de qué trataba. Representa a los escaladores y deportistas que suben al monte Everest que está en el Himalaya.

I loved the Nepalese costume because there was no need for them to explain much to know what it was about. Represents climbers and athletes who climb Mount Everest in the Himalayas.

Las banderas son los mensajes que muchos de esos escaladores colocar en la cima del monte. Lamentablemente no conseguí una foto adecuada porque esa estructura que la chica sostiene en la mano al abrirla era el monte Everest.

The flags are the messages that many of those climbers place on the top of Mt. Unfortunately I did not get a suitable photo because that structure that the girl holds in her hand when she opens it was Mount Everest.

Este traje me gustó mucho por lo colorido que es. Esta inspirado en un tipo de artesanía mexicana llamado "Alebrije" qe usa mezclas de animales imaginarios y reales para crear una criatura fantástica.

I really liked this costume because of how colorful it is. It is inspired by a type of Mexican craft called "Alebrije" that uses mixtures of imaginary and real animals to create a fantastic creature.

Ahora les comparto dos trajes que me parecieron muy inadecuados por el concepto y que por ello fueron los que menos me gustaron.

Now I share with you two outfits that seemed very inappropriate for the concept and that for that reason they were the ones that I liked the least.

Este fue el que menos me gustó porque era un traje para rendirle tributo a Maradonna. Si hubiera sido el uniforme de futbol de Argentina con brillos y así de bonito, pero sin mencionar a Maradonna me hubiera gustado, pero me parece que en un concurso donde se habla del feminismo y el empoderamiento de la mujer es contradictorio rendirle homenaje a una persona que fue un patán con las mujeres y un mal ejemplo para las generaciones.

This was the one I liked the least because it was a costume to pay tribute to Maradonna. If it had been Argentina's soccer uniform with glitter and that beautiful, but without mentioning Maradonna I would have liked it, but it seems to me that in a contest where feminism and the empowerment of women are discussed it is contradictory to pay tribute to a person that he was a jerk to women and a bad example for generations.

Era un muy buen futbolista y eso no se le puede negar, pero no me pareció acorde al certamen resaltar a una persona así. Repito, si hubiera sido solo el uniforme deportivo, no hay problema.

He was a very good footballer and that cannot be denied, but it did not seem appropriate to the contest to highlight such a person. I repeat, if it had been just the sports uniform, no problem.

Por cierto, no conseguí una foto correcta de este traje, la foto que conseguí se ve solo la camiseta de Argentina y hasta allí todo bien, pero en el show ella se abrió esta camisa y debajo tenía una camiseta con la cara de Maradonna.

A mucha gente le gustó este traje, pero a mi no tanto. Otro traje para homenajear a una persona, en este caso un famoso astrólogo: Walter Mercado. Me parece perfecto que admiren a una persona, pero creo que Puerto Rico debe tener muchas más cosas que resaltar.

Por supuesto el traje en sí se ve muy bien elaborado, pero lo que no me gusta es el concepto. Tal vez para un carnaval estaría bien, pero para un Miss Universo es mejor llevar algo que represente mejor a tu país como un animal, una flor, un fenómeno natural, un festival, una celebración, pero no a una persona, es mi humilde opinión.

Of course the suit itself looks very well crafted, but what I don't like is the concept. Maybe for a carnival it would be fine, but for a Miss Universe it is better to wear something that better represents your country such as an animal, a flower, a natural phenomenon, a festival, a celebration, but not a person, it is my humble opinion.
