Hola mis preciados amigos, en esta ocasión me sumo a una de las iniciativas muy lindas de nuestra querida amiga @damarysvibra. La verdad es que desde hace tiempo he observado muchas buenas iniciativas de su parte y otras más que se han realizado desde esta apreciada Comunidad y he perdido la oportunidad de sumarme a ellas. Ya saben, a veces estamos atendiendo un poco por aquí y otro tanto por allá, lo que hace que nos perdamos algunos momentos que también son valiosos en Hive.

Bien, en esta ocasión, quizás ya fuera de tiempo de participación, llego a esta [iniciativa relacionada con la expresión de los pensamientos y sentimientos](https://peakd.com/hive-131951/@damarysvibra/iniciativa-expresar-lo-que-pensamos-y-sentimosiniciative-express-what-we-think-and-feel) pues no quise dejar de traer mi aporte. El tema, realmente me invita a hablarles un poco acerca de mi experiencia personal y los cambios que he tenido que ir haciendo para expresarme, creyendo que con ellos es posible sobrevivir un poquito más. No se asusten, aunque suene trágico, pues lo que quiero es transmitir una parte oculta de mí que puede ayudar a otros que también tengan serios problemas para expresarse.

Mis pensamientos son gritos en silencio --- La mente humana, es una fuente que genera y acumula muchos pensamientos que desembocan en sentimientos positivos y negativos e incluso confusos. Esto puede afectar la transmisión de lo que tenemos acumulado en la mente, es decir, la comunicación no se da de forma adecuada quedando nuestra mente cargada de todas las inquietudes e intereses que no se pueden expresar muchas veces. Al no expresarnos se corre el riesgo de gritar o de llorar impulsivamente como mecanismo de drenaje emocional. Sin embargo, podemos valernos de otros medios de expresión para comunicarnos cuando las palabras parecen sobrar, como en mi caso particular, que al tener un torbellino gris sobre mi cabeza cargado con todos mis intereses y preocupaciones, aprendí a darle color a mis pensamientos expresándome con mis diseños y convirtiéndolos en gritos transmitidos en silencio.

Me refiero a humillaciones, juicios, burlas y otros tratos crueles a pesar de ser yo una niña muy callada que siempre evitó tratar mal a los demás, aceptando todo, sin quejas ni reproches para no incomodar. Pero eso no me exoneró del látigo de las palabras de mi padre y de otros tantos que se sumaron a la contienda contra la niña tonta que no hablaba y se refugiaba al lado de su madre, junto a sus libros para colorear, sus mascotas y el baile.

Toda la mala experiencia de mi infancia, continuó a lo largo de mi adolescencia, juventud e increíblemente hasta llegar a la vida adulta. El maltrato recibido por mis palabras que caían mal a la mayoría al no pensar o expresarme como el montón, me hizo más silenciosa aún. Tanto así, que en varias ocasiones, casi me ha costado la vida, por eso al inicio asomo algo sobre la necesidad de sobrevivir. El maltrato ha sido el pan nuestro de cada día en mi vida, pero sigo albergando en mi corazón el respeto hacia aquellos que me señalaban y condenaban, pues eso es parte de lo que me enseñó mi madre. Aunque el dolor, por un tiempo fue una especie de patrón, hoy ya no lo es más, sin darme cuenta un día pude escapar.

Un personaje y abrazo virtual --- Aunque siempre he vivido con mis pensamientos profundos, he podido crear un personaje virtual donde me escudo y por eso pueden ver algunos largos comentarios o extensos post de mi parte pero siempre con imágenes propias o fotos editadas por mí, pues siento que esa es mi mejor forma para expresar quien soy. De hecho mis pensamientos y sentimientos ocultos son abundantes en comparación con los expresados, pero estar escondida sigue siendo habitual aunque con mejor expresión.

Si tenía que hablar lo hacía obligada y al hacerlo para no quedar tan mal resultaba ser peor. Mi expresión era nula, el pánico me dominó, pues mis ideas y sentimientos no le interesaban a nadie; entonces para qué hablar. Convencida de esto crecí y sufrí, hasta que aprendí a dejar a Dios obrar en mí, no más mi propia intervención torcida. Ahora si puedo darme el valor que tengo y entender que solo tenía que limpiar la casa en mi cabeza para dejar lo que me edifica, sacando todo lo que me entorpece hacia un paraje muy lejos de mis pensamientos y así expresar desde mi interior hacia el exterior lo bueno que hay en mí y lo más importante sin destruir como lo hicieron conmigo.

No viví… Sobreviví --- Por mucho tiempo, no pude sentirme como una persona con derechos de expresión, por eso a veces gritaba y no podía ser de otra manera. El llanto me acompañó por décadas mientras hablaba frente al espejo. Allí, frente a mí, se reflejaba alguien que me entendía. Hoy las lágrimas y los gritos se fueron, aunque siguen asomándose los fantasmas que se empeñan en hacerme retroceder formando algún pequeño torbellino.

Fíjense que digo conscientemente y es porque hay otras ideas que son involuntarias de las cuales no podemos escapar.

Las ideas conscientes son el resultado de lo que elegimos leer, oír, ver y albergar en nuestra mete. Contrariamente, las ideas inconscientes son las que se generan al desviarse la atención por causa de estímulos que llamaré fortuitos. Estos son aquellos inesperados que quizás puedan concebir sentimientos positivos pero también se corre el riesgo de que sean poco edificantes minando nuestra mente. Esa misma mente es la que representamos con un corazón cuando hablamos de los sentimientos acumulados y expresados, pero al no expresarlos se forma un potente remolino, que va alimentándose de todo lo que contiene nuestra mente.

Cuando esto sucede, las alarmas se deben despertar pues esto puede ser señal de indiferencia y por experiencia propia sé lo que duele ser ignorada. Incluso un mal momento no debe sacar lo peor de mí y más cuando se ha trabajado por años en ello. Esto me hace recordar a una profesora de Periodismo, en mi época de estudiante universitaria, quien en una clase del 3er Semestre de Comunicación Social nos explicaba al grupo que hay que saber expresarse con respeto y elocuencia hasta para hacer un reclamo o dirigir un insulto, sin necesidad del uso de malas palabras ni ademanes despectivos, lo que haría sentir tan complacida a la persona objeto de nuestro mensaje que posiblemente nos pediría que lo volviéramos a insultar. Esto nos causó mucha gracia en la clase pero no lo olvidé nunca, pues me pareció una excelente recomendación para quienes seriamos periodistas algún día.

Como regla de oro la asertividad forma parte de mi expresión, ya que no hacer a otros lo que no me gusta que me hagan a mí, es la norma indiscutible que debo cumplir. A través de la escritura he podido expresar mis conocimientos en muchos espacios, pero especialmente mi habilidad con el dibujo y diseño gráfico, me relaja y hace que afloren con coherencia mis pensamientos y sentimientos. Ya sea con dibujo tradicional o digital mi expresión se hace más asertiva.

Actuemos dejando de lado los momentos álgidos, sin permitir que nos transformen en seres destructivos que viven para defender sus puntos de vistas con poca empatía. Si nuestra mente está cargada de amargura y nos eclipsa la vista impidiendo ver las palabras adecuadas para dirigirnos con respeto y comprensión, entonces guardemos silencio y busquemos una forma de expresión idónea. The topic really invites me to talk to you a little bit about my personal experience and the changes I have had to make to express myself, believing that with them it is possible to survive a little bit more. Do not be scared, although it sounds tragic, because what I want is to convey a hidden part of me that can help others who also have serious problems to express themselves.

My thoughts as silent screams --- The human mind, is a source that generates and accumulates many thoughts that lead to positive and negative and even confusing feelings. This can affect the transmission of what we have accumulated in the mind, that is, the communication is not given properly leaving our mind loaded with all the concerns and interests that can not be expressed many times. By not expressing ourselves we run the risk of shouting or crying impulsively as a mechanism of emotional drainage. However, we can use other means of expression to communicate when words seem to be enough, as in my particular case, having a gray whirlwind over my head loaded with all my interests and concerns, I learned to give color to my thoughts by expressing myself with my designs and turning them into shouts transmitted in silence.

I am referring to humiliations, judgments, mockery and other cruel treatments in spite of being a very quiet child who always avoided treating others badly, accepting everything, without complaints or reproaches so as not to make me uncomfortable. But that did not exonerate me from the whip of my father's words and so many others who joined the fray against the silly girl who did not speak and took refuge next to her mother, next to her coloring books, her pets and dancing.

All the bad experience of my childhood, continued throughout my adolescence, youth and unbelievably into adulthood. The mistreatment I received for my words that fell badly to most by not thinking or expressing myself like the crowd, made me even more silent. So much so that on several occasions, it has almost cost me my life, that's why at the beginning, I mentioned something about the need to survive. Mistreatment has been our daily bread in my life, but I still harbor in my heart the respect towards those who pointed at me and condemned me, because that is part of what my mother taught me. Although the pain, for a while was a kind of pattern, today it is no longer, without realizing it one day I was able to escape.

A character and virtual hug --- Although I have always lived with my deep thoughts, I have been able to create a virtual character where I shield myself and that is why you can see some long comments or extensive posts from me but always with my own images or photos edited by me as I feel that is my best way to express who I am. In fact my hidden thoughts and feelings are abundant compared to the expressed ones, but being hidden is still usual although with better expression.

If I had to speak, I was forced to do it, and when I did it so as not to look so bad, it turned out to be worse. My expression was null, panic dominated me because my ideas and feelings were of no interest to anyone, so why talk. Convinced of this, I grew and suffered, until I learned to let God work in me, no more my own twisted intervention. Now if I can give me the courage I have and understand that I only had to clean the house in my head to leave what edifies me, taking everything that hinders me to a place far away from my thoughts and thus express from my interior to the outside what is good in me and most importantly without destroying as they did with me.

I did not live... I survived --- For a long time, I could not feel like a person with rights of expression, that's why I sometimes screamed and could not be otherwise. Crying accompanied me for decades as I spoke in front of the mirror. There, in front of me, was reflected someone who understood me. Today the tears and the screams are gone, although the ghosts that insist on pushing me back are still looming, forming some small whirlwind.

Notice that I say consciously and it is because there are other ideas that are involuntary from which we cannot escape.

Conscious ideas are the result of what we choose to read, hear, see and harbor in our mind. In contrast, unconscious ideas are those that are generated when attention is diverted by stimuli that I will call fortuitous. These are those unexpected ones that perhaps can conceive positive feelings but also run the risk of being unedifying, undermining our mind. That same mind is the one that we represent with a heart when we speak of the accumulated and expressed feelings, but when we do not express them, a powerful whirlpool is formed, which feeds on everything that our mind contains.

When this happens, alarm bells should be raised as this may be a sign of indifference and from my own experience I know how much it hurts to be ignored. Even a bad moment should not bring out the worst in me and even more so when you have been working on it for years. This reminds me of a Journalism professor, when I was a university student, who in a class of the 3rd Semester of Social Communication explained to the group that you have to know how to express yourself with respect and eloquence even to make a claim or direct an insult, without the use of bad words or derogatory gestures, which would make the person so pleased with our message that he/she would possibly ask us to insult him/her again. This caused us a lot of fun in class but I never forgot it, as it seemed to me an excellent recommendation for those of us who would be journalists someday.

As a golden rule, assertiveness is part of my expression, since not doing to others what I do not like to be done to me, is the indisputable rule that I must comply with. Through writing I have been able to express my knowledge in many spaces, but especially my ability with drawing and graphic design, relaxes me and makes my thoughts and feelings emerge with coherence. Whether with traditional or digital drawing my expression becomes more assertive.
