A few years ago I was invited to participate in the audiovisual recording of the creative process of a community theater play produced by the National Theater Company in the city of Carora, west of Lara state.
This warm city has a very well preserved historic center, where the cobblestones and colonial architecture stand out.
Despite the predominantly semi-arid geography and the strong heat throughout the year, Caroreños have been able to build an important agricultural economy since colonial times, where livestock stands out notably.
I took photographs of some abstract elements that are repeated in the streets of Carora.
They are not the classic colonial postcards that represent the city, perhaps since my work was almost always "in door" and the truth is that I had little time to walk its streets.

Postales sueltas de Carora
Hace unos años fui invitado a participar en el registro audiovisual del proceso creativo de una obra de teatro comunitaria producida por la Compañía Nacional de Teatro en la ciudad de Carora, al oeste del estado Lara.
Está calurosa ciudad cuenta con un muy bien conservado casco histórico, dónde sobresalen los empedrados y arquitectura colonial.
A pesar de la geografía predominante semiárido y el fuerte calor durante todo el año, los caroreños han sabido edificar una economía agropecuaria importante desde la época colonial, dónde la ganadería destaca notablemente.
Hice fotografías de algunos elementos abstractos que se repiten en las calles de Carora.
No son las clásicas postales coloniales que representan la ciudad, quizás mediado s que mi trabajo fue casi siempre "in door" y la verdad tuve poco tiempo para recorrer sus calles.
