Cuando estaba en la universidad muchas licenciadas encargadas de la tutoría de nuestras clases se encargaban de decirnos que debemos estar siempre preparados para afrontar la realidad cuando comencemos a trabajar como profesionales de la salud, más específico como enfermería, así mismo era el temor que a la mayoría de nosotros nos abordaba debido a que no sabíamos con qué situaciones nos podíamos encontrar al momento de comenzar a trabajar por primera vez como profesional de enfermería.

Muchas veces discutíamos en clases ese gran temor de no ser lo suficientes en un servicio debido a la falta de teoría o de prácticas y la gran responsabilidad que conlleva en nuestras manos la salud de más de un paciente para su pronta recuperación.

Comencé a trabajar en el Hospital Central de mi ciudad el día 18/06/2021 quedé en uno de los servicios que más me gusta el cual es medicina interna. A pesar de los grandes nervios que llegué a sentir debido a que era mi primer día como enfermera pude abordar de manera profesional el servicio y afrontar aquellas pequeñas dificultades y problemas que se me presentaban en el transcurso de la guardia.

La guardia comenzó a ponerse dura luego de las 6:00 pm ya qué habían demasiados pacientes y solo éramos 4 enfermeras para 17 camas... El transcurso de la guardia fue risas entre los familiares, algún que otro paciente y mis compañeras, pero sin descuidar el trabajo que se realizaba.

A pesar del gran cansancio que sentí luego de culminar mi guardia puedo decir que fue una muy buena experiencia como mi primer día de enfermera y que a pesar de las grandes ojeras que se me hicieron luego de culminar, quedé súper feliz ya qué sentí el agradecimiento y la mejoría por parte de mis pacientes, y no hay nada mejor que eso ya qué me alegra el día de forma total.
