Life has an arsenal of tools to use in our daily lives and one of them are sayings. In this Top 3 sayings initiative by @veronicamartinc I start by telling you that sayings are popular expressions that are passed down from generation to generation. There are many sayings but some have become more popular than others because they are the most used by people.

Sayings are born from the colloquial expression of the times of our ancestors. I particularly like to use them but I have a brother who beats me in usage. There are two that I adopted. Others I have learned from other people. I have several favorites and yesterday my brother showed me another one that fascinated me. It is the one I will show first.

Mi nieto acariciando un perro desconocido, estuve pendiente de que no le agarrara la cola./ My grandson petting an unfamiliar dog, I was watching to make sure he didn't grab tail.

"Si no conoces el animal, no le jorungues el rabo" / "If you don't know the animal, don't grab its tail "

In this case, I was talking to my brother about my computer going white. I was telling him that I watched some videos because it seemed to me that it was the flexor but I was afraid to uncover it because I could pay dearly for my hazing, since I have never uncovered one of those devices. That's when he told me that saying that I immediately took for myself. There are times when trying is the best thing to do, but at other times it is better not to touch the animal's tail.

Flor de la mata de auyama. / Flower of the auyama bush.

This proverb is used when, for example, you have a bad situation but you go ahead trying to survive the problem. This is how most of us in Venezuela are, inventing strategies that allow us to sustain ourselves economically and one of those tools is #Hive and now the #NFT games.

"Mientras más conozco a la gente, más quiero a mi perro" / "The more I know people, the more I love my dog"

This another one of my favorites, I apply it a lot when people who are very close to me, surprise me with some disloyal action.

Un pequeño hongo para ilustrar. / A small mushroom to illustrate.

This saying applies when, after saying something you don't like, you end up doing it. For example, when you criticize or judge a person for what he/she does and then act in the same way. We can say that this popular saying is the same as "Cachicamo telling morrocoy, conchudo"; the cachicamo has a hard shell like the morrocoy, that's why he cannot accuse another if they are the same.

"El que quiere besar busca la boca" / He who wants to kiss looks for the mouth "

This refers to the fact that if you want something you should look for it, because it is of your interest.

”De tal palo, tal astilla” / Like father, like son

When children resemble their parents in physique or qualities it is common to use this expression.

There is a vast and extensive variety of proverbs and sayings of popular language that are usually used in our daily life to convey wisdom. Some of these sayings are opposed and serve as a response or justification to the actions, similar to a counterpoint, but there are others that are similar. For example, if you speak ill of someone and what you said comes back to you it is said "The tongue is the punishment of the body" which you can refute with the expression "He who has a mouth is wrong".

Sayings fascinate me, I hope you enjoy the ones I have shared in this initiative.I was so inspired that I went over the amount.
