A gutsy entrepreneur is opening the twice failed fruit and veggie market

It is #marketFriday day, a great tag brought to us by the ever wonderful @dswigle, and I am feeling overly excited with the expectation of a little fruit and veggie market re-opening.

Yesterday, on a Friday, I saw the big roller door up, the lights on and the cleaning cloth on the counter and took it as a good sign. It made my heart and soul hummed at the thought of fresh fruit and veggies in the display bins once again.

Choice is as important for me as the other person. I love buying from little businesses especially in a shopping centre with large co-operate run supermarkets.

Sadly several months ago the market was closed the second time and as a shopper I never knew why. I thought that given the number of people in line with their armfuls and basketfuls of fruit and veggies the business was going well. The only explanation was a sign saying that due to unforeseen circumstances the market had to be be closed. I always hoped that this did not mean a death, illness or a loan shark beating down their door.

I am definitely going to give the new entrepreneurs my business. Being a forward kind of person I had to ask Glen when the market was opening and his answer was next week. Great news!

Interestingly the fresh produce bins had remained during the closure so perhaps re-opening was always the shopping centre's vision plan. Too many shops have closed over the last couple of years and can only guess they have been victims of the covid pandemic. It has been a tough economic time for small shop owners so hopefully with Australian opening in December we will see better financial times for all little entrepreneurs.

Supporting small businesses is vital to keep them open. To my way of thinking it is worth the extra kilometres to buy my weekly list of fruit and veggies at this little market positioned in the middles of a large shopping centre.

I hope lots of shoppers will do their bit to keep this little business open.

The beautiful colour of this rose is most curious, one that is not commonly seen in gardens, at least not in my garden. But, at a recent wedding a number of these coloured roses were artistically arranged in the bouquets and flower arrangements.

The roses were few in numbe
r, a lovely splash of special colour sitting in amongst the Australian flora themed leaves and flowers, so amazingly gorgeous enhancing the happy romantic celebration.

Who created this lovely rose was on the tip of so many lips?
