Eran las cinco y cuarenta y cinco cuando sonó la alarma del teléfono. Medio dormido Luis buscó a tientas en la mesita de noche, los acordes de la Quinta Sinfonía de Beethoven se repetían en un bucle interminable. Con los ojos aún cerrados encontró el botón de apagado, lo presionó y Beethoven quedó en silencio… Una ligera ducha fría lo terminó de espabilar, se preparó a cumplir su rutina diaria. Luego de un frugal desayuno caminaría las cuatro cuadras que lo separaban de la parada del bus 66, el más directo a la Universidad donde cursaba sus estudios de antropología. Una vez en la calle se sorprendió de lo espeso de la neblina, apenas comenzaba el otoño, un tiempo en el que los cielos todavía se presentaban diáfanos. Serán cosas del calentamiento global, pensó Luis para explicar aquella imprevista blancura que a duras penas le permitía ver unos metros adelante. Mientras avanzaba hacia la parada la visibilidad disminuía, como pudo caminó las cuatro cuadras y se instaló en la parada, pero tenía la sensación de que algo había cambiado… A los diez minutos vio las luces del autobús, no podía distinguir ni siquiera el azul característico de los buses de la ruta. Un desacostumbrado frenazo le llamó la atención, las puertas de la unidad se abrieron y el chofer indicó que subiera. —Buenos días, Luis, le dijo con total confianza. —Acaso lo conozco a usted, le respondió Luis con un tono de curiosidad. —Aquí todos nos conocemos, siéntate y disfruta del paseo… ![imagen2-550.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmaNf2N5k2mHLFj9dcCRDv5cEkoD9XiaqwVvA8px2J78a1/imagen2-550.jpg) La blancura exterior le impedía saber por dónde andaba, cada cierto tiempo se montaba algún pasajero, pero nadie descendía. En una de las paradas se montó un hombre muy anciano, vestía un largo gabán y cubría los ojos con lentes oscuros, había algo en él que le resultó familiar a Luis… —Me puedo sentar…, preguntó el anciano… —Claro, está desocupado y no espero a nadie…, respondió Luis Durante varios minutos el anciano se mantuvo callado mirando al frente. Luis sentía inquietud por no haber llegado a su destino, se sentía perdido sin tener la menor idea de cuánto faltaría para llegar… El anciano se mantenía abstraído, con la vista fija, sin pestañar. Sigilosamente Luis lo veía de soslayo tratando de descubrir algo que le indicara el motivo de su concentración… En un momento en que Luis bajó la vista sintió un ligero estremecimiento. En la mano derecha del anciano había un tatuaje idéntico al que llevaba Luis en la misma mano, era un ancla tosca que se había hecho a modo de travesura cuando era adolescente… —Sí, soy tú, dijo el anciano rompiendo su mutismo. No todos tienen la suerte tuya…A todos los que toman hoy el bus 66 se les va a conceder la gracia de conocer varios futuros, pero respetuosos como somos del libre albedrío solo tú decidirás el más conveniente… Aquellas palabras resonaron en Luis, cambió la mirada hacia la ventanilla y se dio cuenta que la niebla había desaparecido, un desfile de imágenes inconexas se desplegaban fuera del vidrio…Luis miraba maravillado con la sensación de que todo aquello tenía que ver con él… De pronto el autobús frenó… —Terminó mi viaje, dijo el anciano. Se puso de pie y mientras se dirigía a la salida detuvo su andar y regresó. Toma el marcador de la mesa y se dirige al calendario que está en la nevera donde tiene la costumbre de tachar cada nuevo día, esto lo hace cada vez que se inicia un nuevo semestre. Intrigado ve que las fechas no concuerdan, la última marca tiene dos días de retraso en relación con la fecha que le da el celular…Comienza a repasar en su mente y no encuentra el momento en que se olvidó de hacer la marca en el calendario… Qué raro…piensa Luis…Nunca me había pasado, siempre hago la marca antes de salir de casa…Pero bueno, como dicen, siempre hay una primera vez…Hace las dos marcas y se va hacia la parada del bus 66… La luminosidad del cielo lo llena de entusiasmo. Ese día Luis ha decidido dejar los estudios de antropología, siente que no es lo suyo, pero no tiene claro en cuál carrera continuar. Así que se dirige a la oficina de atención al estudiante para comenzar otra vez el proceso de exploración vocacional. En la oficina pregunta a un vigilante donde puede conseguir información para iniciar la exploración vocacional. It was five forty-five when the telephone alarm rang. Half asleep Luis groped on the bedside table, the chords of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony repeated in an endless loop. With his eyes still closed he found the off button, pressed it and Beethoven was silent... A light cold shower finished waking him up, he prepared to fulfill his daily routine. After a frugal breakfast he would walk the four blocks that separated him from the 66 bus stop, the most direct bus to the University where he studied anthropology. Once on the street he was surprised by the thick fog, it was just the beginning of autumn, a time when the skies were still clear. It must be due to global warming, Luis thought to explain that unexpected whiteness, which barely allowed him to see a few meters ahead. As he advanced towards the bus stop, visibility was decreasing, so he walked the four blocks and settled in the bus stop, but he had the feeling that something had changed... The brightness of the sky fills him with enthusiasm. That day Luis has decided to quit his anthropology studies, he feels that it is not his thing, but he is not sure which career to pursue. So he goes to the student services office to begin again the process of vocational exploration. At the office he asks a security guard where he can get information to begin the vocational exploration. The custodian directs you to a small cubicle... -I spoke to the intern...she will give you all the information...She is coming...wait a few minutes...
