From the world of music and entertainment, we move over to Russia. Now, on this day in 1965, Dmitry Medvedev, a Russian lawyer and politician who served as Russia's President from 2008 to 2012 and Prime Minister from 2012 to 2020 was born in Leningrad, Russia, U.S.S.R. (now St. Petersburg, Russia)
Still in Russia, do you also know that on this day in 1849, Ivan Pavlov, a Russian physiologist best known for developing the theory of the conditioned reflex was born in Ryazan, Russia.
Gentlemen, we'll round off our today's look in history from the world of Religion. Do you know that on this day in 1975, The Roman Catholic Church canonised Elizabeth Ann Seton, who was the first American-born saint.
