Did you know ? Christmas markets have been well-known and popular for centuries. The tradition of the Christmas market comes from the 13th century, even then during the Christmas season the market has been a meeting place for people. The real traditional Christmas markets, looking like today's markets, followed just in the 17th century.
With a delicious punch, a portion of roasted almonds, something fine to eat, a Christmas tree and many beautiful lights you can have fun an enjoy one of the perfect Christmas market. In the Advent season, take place many Christmas markets, all over Switzerland today here only a small one in main station Zurich.

Today is the second Advent and Advent is a very special time of the year for young and old. The word Advent comes from the Greek term for appearance. It means arrival, presence or visit of a king. This became adventus Divi in Latin, meaning arrival of the divine ruler.
