Let's Have a Buzzzzzing Party Together!

@BuzzParty and the C/BuzzParty Meet Hive! community
are all about Hive meetups and Hive events around the world!

Welcome

... to this new project, account, and community which are all a product of the merge of 2 already existing and active communities on Hive:

C/HiveUP Europe & C/Hive Meetups

We decided that it is the only logical way to effectively support meetups/events (from now on called "parties") on Hive that we have one big community where Hivers can find the information they are searching for across all borders and continents. We aim to support hosts, share exposure on their announcements, and help attendees find Hive parties in their local area. Maybe we are going to meet at one someday?!

History

It all started with my (@tibfox) problems finding a Hive meetup in my local area a couple of months ago. It was difficult to research for an upcoming meetup and the fact that I am not that well connected in the German Hive community was another big barrier for this task. I thought that this does not have to be that difficult and I quickly decided to build a one-stop post for all Hive meetups in Europe. The European community was very pleased to have this on hand. For this sake, I have created @hive-eu which later became @hiveup-europe (to not brand with the European Union..) and now it has evolved into @BuzzParty. It is kind of the Pokémon evolution stages - we now have arrived at the final stage with a big boom, vibrant colors, and '90s beach vibes!

Community

I got in contact with @enrique89 who is part of @hivecreators and who made everything possible for our communities to merge to get the benefits of both. We now have the already active community of C/Hive Meetups and the tools I have created for C/HiveUP Europe back in the days combined in C/BuzzParty Meet Hive!. From now on it will be easier for us to provide you with the information you want no matter where you are located. Because we are going to collect meetup information and publish them in a structured way for and on our beloved Hive blockchain. In the best case, you help us with that!

Get Your Party Featured

preview on how the pinned map post will look like in our community
It is as simple as posting your Hive party-related content into our community (cross-posts are valid as well of course). If your post is announcing an upcoming event we are going to add it to our database together with structured data like start/end date, address, and such. This database is used to update a one-stop post with all the data you need to find your meetups including map images and gmaps links. The map post for BuzzParty Meet Hive! will come very very soon - We just have to change some bot code and we have to come up with a good and simple post layout. If you want to get a feeling of what data this post will contain feel free to give this post a look. The new post will be way more structured so stay tuned.
You are not the original author of the announcement?

No problemo! In this case, you can cross-post the announcement into our community or simply tag @buzzparty in a comment underneath. This is a very simple way you can help us connect to the party host and to help the host in ing ather more attendees for their party.

Of course, our graphics immediately caught your eye! A big thank you to the amazing guy behind our artwork: @rubencress! He did an excellent and agile job - no matter how big my proposed changes have been. Please make sure to check his detailed post about creating the artwork: Changing things around for Hive Meetup: Buzz Party! and share some love :)

Next Steps

  1. Logo and Banner for the Community
The images are created already and the change will follow very soon. Community members with the admin role unfortunately are not able to change the logo/banner even though we can change the name, description, and more. So our friend @enrique89 will have to do it with the @hive-148309 account.

  2. Execution of the needed Bot Changes
This is the second highest priority because without the bot it would be a huge effort to create the much-needed map post. I will make it work with the new community, the upcoming post layout and I am also going to add various things to make life easier for the user.

  3. Release of the One and Only Map Post
You can refer to this post every time someone asks you about meetups no matter their location. The content of this post will only get changed over time when a new party enters the database so make sure to bookmark the link and you are ready to go.

  4. We Will Need YOU
We need help from the community for inputting data and engaging with the community because I am (currently) not capable of understanding all the languages in the community. We are an international community and we do not plan to force our members to write in a specific language. The language of our posts will be English.

  5. Dedicated Posts about Each Bot Feature
Because the bot is not only meant to serve data input of our admins. There are some handy research features for party hosts and attendees as well in it. So many things that one single post would data overload the reader.

  6. Contests and More
We must gain more exposure to have a more complete list of parties. But we are also aiming for highlighting the importance of offline meetups and events to build strong real-life relations. It is an amazing feeling getting to know people off chain and we want to transport this all across Hive.

  7. News related to Buzz Party
Of course we are going to update you about everything related to this project and all the upcoming things we add to it. There are nice little goodies as incentives for hosts in the pipeline and more. So make sure to give us a follow!

  8. Build up our HP
To support the party hosts and their announcements we are going to power up most of the post rewards. @hiveup-europe already withdraws his power to @buzzparty and I am going to delegate some of mine to the account. We are going to ask for your delegations in the future so you can be part of this "upvote incentive" for party hosts.

C/HiveUP Europe will get closed but our notifications still listen to @hiveup-europe or @hive-eu for the time of transitioning to the new place.

We are going to update you about the progress from time to time. If you are excited about Hive parties all across the world then make sure to give us a follow and subscribe to the community. Also, you can get in touch with us via our discord server or telegram group!

Thank you!

Last but not least a big thank you to everyone that has been already on board with the above-mentioned 2 communities and to all of you in advance for joining our journey. We would be very happy to read your thoughts and suggestions in the comments. Also, a reblog is very appreciated of course so more people will get to know us and the changes we have in mind.

Let's meet someday at a Buzz Party in your area!
