¡Saludos queridos amigos de Hive! Hoy me complace participar en esta iniciativa a la que fui invitada por mis amigos @daniel2001 y @rosana6, y creada por la amiga @yolimarag para hablar sobre mis tres gaitas favoritas y la verdad es que me emociona pues desde pequeña la época decembrina ha sido una de mis favoritas, además que la música tradicional de esta época es muy emblemática para todos los venezolanos.
Greetings dear friends of Hive! Today I am pleased to participate in this initiative to which I was invited by my friends @daniel2001 and @rosana6, and created by friend @yolimarag to talk about my three favorite gaitas and the truth is that I'm excited because since I was a little girl the Christmas season has been one of my favorites, plus the traditional music of this time is very emblematic for all Venezuelans.
Pa’ Que Luis – Arcadio Martínez
Si algo tienen las gaitas zulianas es que nos quieren transmitir parte de su cultura y de su idiosincrasia y eso es lo que siento al escuchar este tema de la agrupación Pillopo, que nos cuenta de una esquina en Maracaibo donde la gente va a divertirse y a pasar un buen rato, lo jocoso de la canción es que no importa las condiciones de aquel lugar, con un viejo mostrador y algunos ratones, lo importante es la alegría que se consigue entre los que lo visitan, que comen y beben diversidad de licores.
Este lugar existe desde el año 1987 y con el boom que causó este tema en Maracaibo, se convirtió en un lugar de referencia para todo aquel que visita la ciudad y muy especialmente la parroquia Santa Lucía.
If there is something about the gaitas from Zulia is that they want to transmit part of their culture and idiosyncrasy and that is what I feel when listening to this song by the group Pillopo, which tells us about a corner in Maracaibo where people go to have fun and have a good time, the funny thing about the song is that no matter the conditions of that place, with an old counter and some mice, the important thing is the joy that is achieved among those who visit, who eat and drink a variety of liquors.

Esta canción inmediatamente me transporta a mi niñez sacando los adornos navideños con mi mamá para adornar la casa, por eso la considero una de mis favoritas, por las añoranzas de aquellos años.
Este tema también pertenece a la agrupación Pillopo y nos cuenta de las vicisitudes de una familia que, por ir adaptándose al mundo tecnológico, terminan desconectándose entre ellos. Esta canción es realmente graciosa por todo lo que tienen que pasar y al final, ya no les sirve para nada su antena puesto que ya existe una nueva tecnología japonesa, con una antena más pequeña, más barata y superior, por lo cual la anterior solo servirá para guindar la ropa.
This song immediately takes me back to my childhood, when my mom and I would take out the Christmas ornaments to decorate the house, that's why I consider it one of my favorites, because of the nostalgia of those years.
This song also belongs to the group Pillopo and tells us about the vicissitudes of a family that, as they adapt to the technological world, end up disconnecting from each other. This song is really funny because of all they have to go through and in the end, their antenna is no longer of any use to them since there is a new Japanese technology, with a smaller, cheaper and superior antenna, so the previous one will only serve to hang their clothes.

Y así como la gaita nos transmite un poco de la cultura zuliana, también existen gaitas como ésta, que se encuentra entre el despecho y las gaitas románticas, hay para todos los gustos. Este tema es de la agrupación Gran Coquivacoa y es interpretado por Neguito Borjas.
Lo interesante de este tema es que no era nada relacionado con protestas o con rasgos de zulianidad, que era lo que se acostumbraba a escuchar en las gaitas, pero poco a poco se convirtió en un tema fijo decembrino y que los enamorados de distintas generaciones se han dedicado sin cesar.
