voy sumergido en un sendero de mis pensamientos,
transitando el dolor del día con sentimiento,
mientras me invade la agonía del arrepentimiento
por no haber logrado lo suficiente
aun después de intentarlo nuevamente.
¿Qué hice mal o qué me hace falta para mejorar?,
es lo que me pregunto en voz alta al caminar,
y a pesar de tener una respuesta pendiente por conseguir,
sé que no debo desistir y a pasos firmes debo seguir.
Pues tú, mi pequeña, a quién debo proteger,
eres la fuente que hace mi fuerza emerger,
por eso no importar que tan oscuro haya sido el día,
siempre conseguiré el camino a casa
y las fuerzas para llegar sin falta,
a ver esa sonrisa que me “mata”,
no solo de ternura sino de pureza.
Por ti buscaré llegar más allá de todo lo que pueda alcanzar.

passing through the pain of the day with feeling,
as the agony of regret invades me

is what I ask myself out loud as I walk,
