Por lo general, cada vez que subo a una montaña cercana a mi casa para hacer recorridos, acostumbro ir a una cueva conocida como la "Cueva del Indio".
Usually, every time I ascend a mountain near my home to make tours, I usually go to a cave known as the "Indian's Cave".
Sobre esa cueva capturé fotografías y escribí hace más de un año y medio, pero las fotografías no dan una idea del tamaño de la cueva en su interior porque no tienen un punto de referencia apropiado para comparar.
About that cave I captured photographs and wrote and wrote more than a year and a half ago, but the photographs do not give an idea of the size of the cave inside because they do not have a proper reference point to compare.
En esta entrada coloco fotografías del interior de la cueva pero me utilicé como punto de referencia capturándome selfis usando el temporizador de la cámara digital. Las siguientes dos imágenes dan una idea de la primera sala al bajar al interior de la cueva. Como a dos pasos de donde me encuentro en la fotografía, una vez encontré en el suelo a una avispa cazadora muy activa caminando cerca de un agujero con tierra removida que asumí era el nido de la avispa. La fauna que predomina en la cueva es de vampiros y arañas adaptadas a vivir en cuevas.
In this entry I use photographs from inside the cave but I used myself as a reference point capturing selfies using the digital camera's timer. The following two images give an idea of the first room as I descend into the cave. About two steps away from where I am in the photograph, I once found a very active hunting wasp on the ground walking near a hole with removed soil that I assumed was the wasp's nest. The predominant fauna in the cave are vampires and spiders adapted to living in caves.
En la siguiente fotografía estoy donde termina la primera sala y se da inicio a un pasadizo estrecho, por ese pasadizo hay que andar agachado y tiene una roca grande que dificulta el andar.
In the next photograph I am where the first room ends and a narrow passageway begins, in this passageway you have to walk crouching down and it has a big rock that makes it difficult to walk.
El pasadizo en un momento permite que uno se levante y desde allí se puede ver una subida que conduce a una segunda sala que se ilumina con la luz solar que entra a la cueva por un agujero en el techo, pero la mejor forma de llegar a esa segunda sala es continuar a través del pasadizo estrecho a la izquierda en la fotografía siguiente. Por el pasadizo hay que continuar andando agachado.
The passageway at one point allows you to stand up and from there you can see a slope that leads to a second room that is illuminated by sunlight that enters the cave through a hole in the ceiling, but the best way to reach the second room is to continue through the narrow passageway to the left in the next photograph. Through the passageway you must continue walking crouching.
Al final del pasadizo se asciende un poco y luego se encuentra una segunda sala, esa sala es la más grande y se ilumina un poco por el agujero en el techo, aunque no hay un solo agujero. En esa sala se encuentran la mayor cantidad de formaciones geológicas como estalactitas (arriba) y estalagmitas (abajo). El ambiente dentro de la cueva siempre es frío, y por eso acostumbro entrar a la cueva cuando hago recorridos por la montaña para refrescarme.
At the end of the passageway you ascend a little and then you will find a second room, this room is the largest and is illuminated a little by the hole in the ceiling, although there are other holes. In this room you will find the largest amount of geological formations such as stalactites (above) and stalagmites (below). The environment inside the cave is always cold, and that is why I usually enter the cave when I make mountain tours to refresh myself.
La siguiente fotografía es de uno de los extremos de la segunda sala y si se sube a la piedra en la que apoyo mis manos, se podría bajar al lugar del pasadizo que permite que uno se levante; que comente anteriormente.
The following photograph is of one of the ends of the second room and if you climb up to the stone on which I rest my hands, you could go down to the place of the passageway that allows you to stand up; which I commented on earlier.
La siguiente fotografía es del otro extremo de la segunda sala que conduce a una sala muy pequeña.
The next photograph is of the other end of the second room leading to a very small room.
En la sala muy pequeña se puede ver la estrecha salida de la cueva por la cual hay que subir trepando colocando un pie en una pared de roca y el otro en la pared opuesta.
In the very small room you can see the narrow exit of the cave through which you have to climb up by placing one foot on a rock wall and the other on the opposite wall.
Al salir de la cueva, en esta última fotografía se aprecia como se ve la salida y también se puede ver la unión de una estalactita con una estalagmita.
On leaving the cave, in this last photograph you can see the exit and you can also see the union of a stalactite with a stalagmite.
