A new theme each week, three topics to choose one and develop it as we wish, yes, the publication must be uploaded at a certain time or you will be disqualified, this is part of what is #contra-reloj, I love it because they give me ideas to write to my liking and today particularly, they have made it difficult because I have to choose between three great ancient cultures and the three I like and they are: Egyptian, Chinese and Roman, if you want to know the details to participate I leave you here [here]( https://peakd. com/hive-147104/@against-clock/against-clock-ancient-cultures) the publication with the information, I must confess that I can spend happy hours, watching documentaries where they provide information and discoveries of any of these cultures, but as I can only talk about one I have decided to choose:

Welcome to my blog.png

Egyptian culture

Ancient Egypt, is a place full of wonders and mysteries for everyone, just seeing the remains of what once was I can not stop imagining how it would be in full splendor, I like to imagine that it would be as described or illustrated in the movies when they represent its beauty full of life and surrounded by architecture and beauty even in the middle of the desert.

It calls my attention deeply, the one that raises the great pyramids and the representation of the sphinxes figures half animal (cats) half person, now about their deities Anubis calls my attention a lot, so that you know a little more I share this information:

Anubis, also called Anupo, is the Egyptian god, protector, guardian and guide of the dead. In Egyptian mythology, he helps the dead in their encounter with Osiris.

For this, he is associated with the eye of Horus and is also named as the god of funeral rites, as the process of mummification of the pharaohs.

Represented with the head of a jackal and the body of a man, the cult of Anubis would have begun between 3100 BC and 2686 BC, at the time of the first dynasty of Egypt. In his right hand he holds a scepter and in his left hand the key that represents life and death. In addition, Anubis has as a symbol the whip that he carries with his body.

This representation could be explained because at that time in history, the dead were buried in shallow tombs. Then, to avoid the action of marauders, dogs and jackals were used as protectors.

Another thing I love about ancient Egypt is their admiration and respect for felines, so reading and remembering some documentaries cats were considered guardians of the spiritual world, in fact, it was considered that the Egyptian gods, as well as their rulers possessed feline qualities, such as: being great strategists, combative and independent. protective, loyal and affectionate at times, for those reasons they erected statues of them or with forms that had allusive forms to these, as I already mentioned the sphinxes.

In Ancient Egypt, cats were admired and valued for their natural tributes such as hunting as they kept mice and snakes at bay, by hunting them, they protected their families, cats were so valued in ancient Egypt that they were mummified and after their death their families shaved their eyebrows as a sign of pain, this just to illustrate part of the reasons or reasons why I admire this ancient culture so much, of which only a part has been discovered.
