One of the most anticipated venues in Istanbul is the Topkapi Palace. Views of the Bosphorus Straits and the Marmara Sea from the balcony of the Imperial Hall were spectacular, almost out of this world, especially on a warm and sunny autumn afternoon. A final glimpse of the bright blue color against contrasting autumn foliage before the weather turns gloomy in preparation for the arrival of winter. I look forward to returning to this beautiful place to enjoy a cup of Turkish tea or perhaps lunch at the famous Konyali 1897 restaurant overlooking awesome sea views with cuddly felines.
