@derangedvision's Photography Contest - My Favourite Shots

I know the title is supposed to be 'best' shots but I'm not a photographer and I'm not sure how to place a definition on 'best'.

So with respect, I'm just choosing my recent favourites but to hopefully improve them a little over their original form. This will involve simple tweaks in Google photos and a little cropping and / or straightening.

For transparency, some of these photos have appeared in their original form as illustrations in previous posts and were all taken on a cheap Mi smartphone.

Hope you like them and as always, thanks to @derangedvisions for running this great community where I'm learning so much and trying to put a little more effort into my snaps!

Obviously Amateur, so if the Pros have any advice it would be gratefully received.

The most recent image, taken very close to home a couple of weeks ago at sunset and unlike the others, is completely untouched. Here because the colour of the sky was simply incredible.

Taking at Kings Cross station, London at Christmas, I just adore this amazing roof and with the colour and snowflakes projected up onto it made it look even more beautiful.

Taken at a lakeside restaurant close to home, I cropped this to make it look simpler whilst still retaining the gorgeous colours. I love this photo!

There had to be food pictures! This is Tom Yam Kung, freshly delivered to the table and I've no idea what they burning in the warmer but it certainly wasn't an Ikea tealight!

The wholesale flower market in Bangkok is amazing, the scents and colours filled the senses. I again went for simple with these carnations.

This shot at dusk taken of Koh Samui is here because it luckily came out so sharp that it's easy to see the moon, and what I think is Mercury, highlighted in a cloudless sky with a beautiful colour graduation.

I love photos that can transport you back in time as I feel this one does. Taken at the National Railway Museum in York, which helps, the subdued tones really take you back. You can almost hear the clock ticking!

The wife on the boat from Samui at sunset. I had to get in one of her as a 'favourite'. Happy wife, happy life ;-)

This was taken at Mo Chit MTR (underground) station in Bangkok and I just love the colours and reflections, as well as the message!
