About the Quote

Men are usually known for the things which get publicized or promoted.
Left unsaid are the things they need to get done in order to achieve their potential. Behind the scenes, it will be a woman who gets things done to make it possible for the man to do his thing.

The quote by Margaret Thatcher (known by many as "The Iron Lady") appears to be her take on the more well-known quote "Behind every successful man is a woman." It's also recognition of the power women have when they succeed in a world dominated by men to the point where they beat the men on their own terms.

Some Information about Margaret Thatcher

Margaret Hilda Thatcher, Baroness Thatcher of Kesteven (née Margaret Hilda Roberts), was born in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England on 1925-October-13. She dies in London, England, UK on 2013-April-8.

Margaret Thatcher was a politician in the Conservative Party (informally known as the Tories). It was a 1976 speech condemning Communism which earned her the nickname "The Iron Lady." When she was elected UK Prime Minister in 1979, she became not only the first female prime minister in UK history but also the first female prime minister in all of Europe.

Thatcher's term as UK PM lasted from 1979 through her resignation in 1990. The last time a UK PM had served that long continuously was in 1827. It was during her term that the British economy moved from statism to liberalism or free-market dominance. When she left office, she had a level of fame and renown on the level of Winston Churchill.

During Thatcher's term she established strong professional relationships with both US President Ronald Reagan and Polish-born Pope John Paul II as the three world leaders worked to bring both Communism and the Cold War to an end.
