Llevaba semanas con ganas de comer hamburguesas pero no quería prepararlas durante la Navidad o Año Nuevo ya que me parecía que no combinaban con la comida de esas fechas así que llegada la primera semana de enero, me propuse cumplir mi antojo.
I had been wanting to eat hamburgers for weeks but I didn't want to prepare them during Christmas or New Year's since it seemed to me that they didn't combine with the food of those dates, so when the first week of January arrived, I decided to fulfill my craving.
El jueves por la tarde fui al supermercado a comprar los ingredientes, cuando llegué me sorprendió ver que había muy poca gente, era jueves, pero de la primera semana del año, las personas aun procesaban su 2023 así que en menos de una hora, ya tenía todo lo que necesitaba. Cuando llegué a casa, me puse manos a la obra, elegí una buena carne de res, formé las hamburguesas y las puse a cocinar en la sartén, mientras las hamburguesas se cocinaban, preparé las papas fritas, las corté en bastones, las herví por unos minutos y las freí en aceite caliente, también puse a enfriar una botella de Coca-Cola.
On Thursday afternoon I went to the supermarket to buy the ingredients, when I arrived I was surprised to see that there were very few people, it was Thursday, but during the first week of the year, people were still processing their 2023 so in less than an hour, already I had everything I needed. When I got home, I got to work, I chose a good beef, I formed the burgers and cooked them in the pan, while the burgers were cooking, I prepared the fries, cut them into sticks, boiled them for a few minutes and fried them in hot oil, I also cooled a bottle of Coca-Cola.
Cuando las hamburguesas estuvieron listas las serví con las papas fritas y un buen vaso de Coca-Cola, esta demás decir que las hamburguesas estaban deliciosas, la carne estaba jugosa y las papas fritas estaban crujientes. Después de matar mi antojo puedo decir que preparar esta comida como mi primer platillo del año fue la mejor manera de empezar enero con buen pie y con la energía necesaria para afrontar todo lo que me deparara este año 2024.
When the burgers were ready I served them with the fries and a good glass of Coca-Cola. Needless to say, the burgers were delicious, the meat was juicy and the fries were crispy. After killing my craving, I can say that preparing this meal as my first dish of the year was the best way to start January on the right foot and with the energy necessary to face everything that 2024 had in store for me.
