Si hablamos de una ciudad con una arquitectura y una historia fascinante, tenemos que hablar de Ciudad de México. Arquitectura creativa, rascacielos monumentales, la mezcla evidente de lo prehispánico, lo gótico, lo barroco junto a lo moderno y actual, la hacen sin duda una referencia mundial.
Hace un tiempo tuve la oportunidad de conocerla, y me quedé con tantas ganas de seguir explorando que sé que en algún momento regresaré. Porque no solo es la cultura e historia que vemos reflejadas en sus calles, no solo son los contrastes, la modernidad, el color y la alegría, es también su gente que te hace sentir sencillamente como si hubieses nacido allí.
Pude conocer la antigua Basílica de Guadalupe y la actual con su impresionante arquitectura. El Palacio de Bellas Artes y su arquitectura de mármol, que ahora es un museo, la emblemática Torre Latinoaméricana que según tiene más de 200 metros de altura y es referencia para cualquier turista que visita El Zócalo, porque por ella nos guiamos para no perdernos 😅. Visité el impresionante Teotihuacán y sus pirámides, recorrí el Zócalo no sé cuántas veces y me deleité en sus calles viendo artistas en cada esquina, me mezclé con su gente. Fui a la casa azul, ahora Museo de Frida Kahlo y llegué pasada las 5 de la tarde, por lo que me tuve que conformar con verla luego por dentro en una página de museos virtuales. Sin embargo debo decir que Coyoacán, el municipio dónde se encuentras ubicado, fue de mis sitios favoritos y es el primer sitio al que me encantaría volver.
En fin, fue una experiencia inolvidable. México tiene tanto que ofrecer constituyendo un patrimonio natural, cultural y arquitectónico mundial tan bonito, que uno o dos viajes no serían suficientes.

If we talk about a city with fascinating architecture and history, we have to talk about Mexico City. Creative architecture, monumental skyscrapers, the evident mix of pre-Hispanic, Gothic, Baroque and modern and contemporary, make it without a doubt a world reference.
Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit it, and I was so eager to continue exploring that I know I will return at some point. Because it is not only the culture and history that we see reflected in its streets, it is not only the contrasts, the modernity, the colour and the joy, it is also its people who make you feel as if you were born there.
I was able to see the old Basilica of Guadalupe and the current one with its impressive architecture and walls full of art. The Palacio de Bellas Artes and its marble architecture, which is now a museum, the emblematic Torre Latinoamerica, which is said to be over 200 metres high and is a reference for any tourist visiting El Zocalo, because that is what we are guided by. I visited Teotihuacán, I walked around the Zócalo I don't know how many times, and I delighted in its streets seeing artists on every corner, I mingled with its people. I went to the blue house, now the Frida Kahlo Museum, and I arrived after 5 pm, so I had to settle for seeing the inside of it later on a virtual museum website. However, I must say that Coyoacán, the municipality where it is located, was one of my favourite places and it is the first place I would love to return to.
All in all, it was an unforgettable experience. Mexico has so much to offer with such a beautiful natural, cultural and architectural heritage that one or two trips would not be enough.
