"Fashion needs a tyrant", this was the affirmation of Paul Poiret at the beginning of the 20th century.

I start with this affirmative phrase from this incredible designer, who was the first to bear the title of fashion designer. He came to this information thanks to the interest that I am beginning to develop in Fashion Design due to the constant exchange of information that I develop with my sister @caribayarte, who studied that profession at the Design Institute of Las Mercedes in Caracas, an artistic process in which I became increasingly involved as I support my sister in the audiovisual production of her brand.

In order to take a photograph or audiovisual material on a specific topic, you always have to investigate in depth about the area, this process is fundamental and would enter the pre-production part, in my case I made the mistake of not informing myself of this in due course.

The decision to take my sister's book "FASHION EL CENTURY OF DESIGNERS - 1900 - 1999 by Charlotte Seeling" and start looking into Paul Poiret, happens due to the beautiful Collection that my sister developed a year ago dedicated to my personal brand Manaure World; When I started to wear those shirts the comfort I felt unlike the other generic shirts that one commonly buys, these shirts were like walking without them or as if they were part of me, when I asked my sister for the shirts, she told me he asked what exactly did he want? I told him that I wanted something that would adapt to the climate, that was tropical and at the same time something formal, and the truth is that I stick it, I feel great, now I understand a little more the trade of the fashion designer, it is not only designing the best outfit and pretend it, if not that outfit is comfortable for those who wear it without losing the objective of the occasion.

Now he asked me how Poiret knew if the 40 cm dolls that his sister gave him to test his designs were comfortable, however I imagine that if he generated that comfort in his designs, for something he is still considered the architect of the liberation of women.

Something very interesting in Poiret is that women were always his greatest support point to jump to the glory of the idiom, one of the first was his mother who gave him 50,000 francs so that he could inaugurate his first Fashion Show; his first client was the actress Réjane.

Another interesting situation of Poiret is that he was a good draftsman, this allowed him to work with the famous couturier Jacques Doucet, this attribute in Poiret I imagine was a good contribution so that in 1906 he designed a simple suit, fitted directly under the breasts and falling straight underfoot, this line would make Poiret immortal. He named it La Vague, since it seemed to swirl around the body as one.

Over time in the Audiovisual medium I managed to get some loyal viewers who like to see my content, taking advantage of this achievement I told my sister about making a design to generate advertising on my networks; the goal was achieved, this pair we made seemed great to me, so much so that we are already making another collection. I am very happy to know that Poiret managed to have a model or rather a muse with whom he married in 1905, her name was Denise Boiler, who became one of the most elegant women in Paris, Poiret comments: "She was a very simple, but I super see its hidden beauty ".

In 1913, the couturier himself described her in Vogue: "Denise is slim, dark-skinned, young, and her beauty does not need corsets or makeup"

Another contribution of Poiret was that he managed to generate a trend in Paris, all women wanted to look like Denise. Poiret's achievement of disappearing the corset replacing it with flexible bras and loose garters, added to bright colors and simple prints made women look much younger and more active, also worked a lot on the variety such as kimonos, baggy pants, tunics, veils and turbans.

Poiret's actions led him to be very sure of his status, he was proud of discovering the magic of the East long before; in 1897 at a carpet exhibition in the Le Bon Marché stores; He was the first couturier to launch his own perfume and he did so just 10 years before CHANEL, in 1911 he opened a workshop in which Raoul Dufu's artistic designs were printed directly on silk, a fact that revolutionized the textile industry. became the first designer of the century to mark all his projects with his aesthetic stamp.

Definitely the achievements of this incredible designer attracts my attention and I can see all the incredible possibilities that my sister can achieve in the world of design, not only that, but I also understand the importance of this artistic area within society, its contribution can clearly generate a social change, both liberating and imprisoning culture, ideals and personalities, in the case of this design that my sister Caribay, I consider not only liberates me but also broadens my interest in knowledge and textile freedom.
