1-Bittrex receives a fine
Seattle-based cryptocurrency exchange Bittrex, founded in 2014 by Seattle-based software engineers Bill Shihara, Richie Lai and Rami Kawach, will have to pay $29 million for violating regulations. The Treasury Department's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) says Bittrex failed to implement an effective anti-money laundering programme in-house during the period from 2014 to 2018. Thus, Bittrex was fined $29 million by the US body, FinCEN, which combats illicit finance. As a specific clarification, FinCEN is an entity that is under the jurisdiction of the US Federal Government.
2-The IRS expands the category of digital assets
The IRS, or Internal Revenue Service, is the agency responsible for collecting taxes within the soil of the United States of America. The draft IRS 2022 tax forms list both cryptocurrencies and NFTs. US taxpayers will therefore be asked whether they have bought, sold or given away digital assets. The IRS has begun investigating users who do not pay taxes on cryptocurrencies.
3-J.P. Morgan agreement with Iovine
J.P. Morgan will handle regulatory affairs with Iovine for issues related to trading digital assets. Iovine was, therefore now no longer, the head of Celsius Network. still in bankruptcy. Iovine left Celsius two months after the Celsius Network platform filed for bankruptcy.
My opinion
1-Bittrex was a very popular exchange in 2016 and 2017, then in my opinion it started to lose more and more popularity. Now with this news the exchange will face an even more difficult time. I doubt that in the future it will be able to return to the same popularity it had in the past.
2-I believe that from now on, cryptocurrencies will become one of the most talked about topics when it comes to tax complaints.
3-I find strange this move of J.P. Morgan to entrust the management of the regulatory affairs of digital assets to a person coming from a platform that failed, maybe there are some details that I didn't quite understand. What is interesting, however, is to see how these banking giants are dealing with cryptocurrencies.

1-Bittrex riceve una multa
L’exchange di criptovalute Bittrex, fondato nel 2014 dagli ingegneri informatici Bill Shihara, Richie Lai e Rami Kawach con sede a Seattle, dovrà pagare 29 milioni di dollari per aver violato delle norme. Il Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) del Dipartimento del Tesoro afferma che Bittrex non ha implementato all’interno dell’azienda un programma di antiriciclaggio efficace durante il periodo che va dal 2014 al 2018. Così Bittrex ha ricevuto una multa di 29 milioni di dollari da parte dell'ente USA, appunto il FinCEN, che combatte la finanza illecita. Come chiarimento specifico che il FinCEN è un ente che è sotto la giurisdizione del Governo Federale degli Stati Uniti.
2-L’IRS allarga la categoria degli asset digitali
L’IRS, ovvero l’Internal Revenue Service, è l'agenzia incaricata alla riscossione dei tributi all’interno del suolo degli Stati Uniti d’America. Nella bozza dei moduli fiscali IRS 2022 sono elencate sia criptovalute che NFT. Verrà quindi chiesto ai contribuenti americani se hanno acquistato, venduto o regalato asset digitali. L’IRS ha iniziato ad indagare sugli utenti che non pagano le tasse sulle criptovalute.
3-J.P. Morgan accordo con Iovine
J.P. Morgan gestirà con Jovine gli affari normativi per le questioni relative al trading di asset digitali. Iovine era, quindi ora non più, il responsabile di Celsius Network. tuttora in fallimento. Iovine ha lasciato Celsius due mesi dopo che la piattaforma Celsius Network aveva presentato istanza di fallimento
La mia opinione
1-Bittrex era un exchange molto popolare nel 2016 e nel 2017, poi secondo me, ha iniziato a perdere sempre più popolarità. Ora con questa notizia l’exchange dovrà affrontare un periodo ancora più difficile. Dubito che in futuro potrà tornare ad avere la stessa popolarità che aveva in passato.
2-Credo che d’ora in avanti, le criptovalute diventeranno uno tra gli argomenti più discussi per quanto riguarda le denunce fiscali.
3-Trovo strana questa mossa di J.P. Morgan di affidare la gestione degli affari normativi degli asset digitali ad una persona che arriva da una piattaforma che ha fallito, forse ci sono dei dettagli che non ho ben compreso. Interessante invece è vedere come questi colossi bancari si stianomuovendo nei confronti delle criptomonete.
