Parasite has amazed everyone this year. He amazed everyone thanks to an incredible rise that led him to win 4 Oscars, the most important ones.
Thanks to his director, that Bon Jong Hoo who wiped out the competition and amazed the whole world from Korea.
If Parasite seemed a surprise it's because she didn't pay much attention to the filmography of this wonderful and visionary director.
Important, impressive titles that brought him to the forefront of Hollywood well before 2019 with important collaborations and important films like Snowpiercer and the more recent Okja.
And it is Okja to be the film that precedes the masterpiece Parasite.
Netflix gave a great chance to the Korean director who didn't disappoint, making one of the most particular and special film of the last years.
A visionary and grotesque film, imaginative, full of technique and childlike vision of the world. A vision as naive as that of a child but that blends with the dark cynicism of those who have understood society to the core. And so was born a film that contains the desire of an Asian girl to create a happy family with her super-pig Okja and the determination of the corporations to betray the promises made out of pure and greedy capitalism.
Around this dualism this wonderful film was born and grows. A film that seems to take no position but ends up being bittersweet like few others. It is clear that it is very difficult to win against the powerful, against the strength of the multinationals. Clear in highlighting the determination, the heart of a little girl who loves. Animalism, capitalism, environmentalism. Many -isms are treated by bringing out the best and the worst of every force told.
A nice way to achieve success, arrived a few months later with the masterpiece that we all know.

La filmografia di un regista ci permette di capire il percorso di un cineasta, di capire come quella persona sia arrivata al successo planetario, come abbia costruito la sua poetica, il suo stile.
Parasite ha strabiliato tutti quest'anno. Ha strabiliato tutti grazie ad un'incredibile ascesa che lo ha portato a vincere 4 Oscar, quelli più importanti.
Merito del suo regista, quel Bon Jong Hoo che ha spazzato via la concorrenza e dalla Corea ha stupito il mondo intero.
Se Parasite è sembrata una sorpresa è perchè non si era data grossa attenzione alla filmografia di questo stupendo e visionario regista.
Titoli importanti, imponenti che lo hanno portato alla ribalta di Hollywood ben prima del 2019 con collaborazioni importanti e film importanti come Snowpiercer ed il più recente Okja.
Ed è proprio Okja ad essere il film che precede il capolavoro Parasite.
Netflix ha dato una grande chance al regista coreano che non ha deluso, confezionando uno dei film più particolari e speciali degli ultimi anni.
Un film visionario e grottesco, fantasioso, ricco di tecnica e di fanciullesca visione del mondo. Una visione ingenua come quella di un bambino ma che si fonde col cinismo cupo di chi ha compreso la società fino al midollo. E cosi nasce un film che racchiude la voglia di una bambina asiatica di creare una famiglia felice con il suo supermaialino Okja e la determinazione delle corporazioni di tradire le promesse fatte per puro e avido capitalismo.
Attorno a questo dualismo nasce e cresce questo splendido film. Un film che sembra non prendere una posizione ma che finisce per essere dolceamaro come pochi altri. Netto nel far capire come sia difficilissimo vincere contro i potenti, contro la forza delle multinazionali. Netto nel mettere in risalto la determinazione, il cuore di una bambina che ama. Animalismo, capitalismo, ambientalismo. Tanti -ismi vengono trattati facendo emergere il meglio ed il peggio di ogni forza raccontata.
Un bel viatico per raggiungere il successo, arrivato pochi mesi dopo con il capolavoro che tutti conosciamo.
