I looked at both the first and the second option, then I opted to rent it, Giant Roc, Fire Element Common Card, why did I opt to rent it??
Simple, very few DEC cost (it seems to me even a couple), while to buy even a single unit of Giant Roc it takes more than a dollar, indeed, it is difficult to be enough 1 dollar and a half, to have a A bit of a performance card, you need several units...
I believe that the first level that represents a shot compared to the previous ones is the 4th, to which I could already actually push Giant Roc as I have the corresponding Rare Summoner (Qid Yuff) even at the 5th level, but it is necessary 12 units, just under 20 dollars, I honestly didn't feel like taking this step, considering also the fact that I would get a counter value of only 180 DEC, at the level of Deck Power, it must be a truly special card, for how I am setting my ascent on Splinterlands, to convince myself to take such steps, with this I do not want to say that Giant Roc is a low value card or not deserving to be upgraded, I simply consider elevating a priority several other Cards before proceeding, eventually, to touch her too...
So, in summary, I made the pairing, through rental, of Giant Roc 5th level with Qid Yuff 4th level, I like to deploy this Card in 2nd position, immediately after a Card of good power like Front Card, in the configuration that I actually used I had 2 units of hit per round of play available for Giant Roc, a speed equal to 3 units and a supply of 5 Lives, the cost in terms of Mana of this Card is medium, 5 Mana, neither a few, nor too many, which make it a bit of a watershed, because you never quite understand in which contexts to actually use it, on a personal level the cards that have this cost in Mana are among the most uncertain , as a combat use, I prefer higher or lower costs, for a better definition of what I actually have to take to the field...

Questa settimana, per il pregevole contest di Splinterlands, è arrivata una delle Carte storiche di Splinterlands, una di quelle Carte che ormai si conoscono da sempre, talmente antica che mi sono ritrovato di fronte a un dilemma, quando ho deciso di partecipare...
"Ma la compro o la noleggio??"
Ho guardato sia la prima, sia la seconda opzione, poi ho optato di noleggiarla, Giant Roc, Carta Comune dell'Elemento Fuoco, perché ho optato per il noleggio??
Semplice, pochissimi DEC di costo (mi sembra addirittura un paio), mentre per acquistare anche una sola unità di Giant Roc occorre più di un dollaro, anzi, fa fatica a bastare 1 dollaro e mezzo, per avere una Carta un po' prestazionale occorrono diverse unità...
Ritengo che il primo livello che rappresenta uno scatto rispetto ai precedenti sia il 4°, a cui potrei già effettivamente spingere Giant Roc in quanto ho il corrispontente Evocatore Raro (Qid Yuff) addirittura al 5° livello, ma occorrono ben 12 unità, poco meno di 20 dollari, sinceramente non me la sono sentita di fare questo passo, considerando anche il fatto che otterrei un controvalore di soli 180 DEC, a livello di Deck Power, dev'essere una Carta veramente speciale, per come sto impostando la mia risalita su Splinterlands, per convincermi a fare passi del genere, con questo non voglio affermare che Giant Roc sia una Carta di basso pregio o non meritevole di essere potenziata, semplicemente ritengo prioritario il fatto di elevare parecchie altre Carte prima di procedere, eventualmente, a toccare anche lei...
Allora, riassumendo, mi sono fatto l'accoppiata, tramite noleggio, di Giant Roc 5° livello con Qid Yuff 4° livello, mi piace schierare questa Carta in 2° posizione, subito dopo una Carta di buona potenza come Front Card, nella configurazione che ho effettivamente utilizzato avevo a disposizione per Giant Roc 2 unità di colpo per tornata di gioco, una velocità pari a 3 unità e una dotazione di 5 Vite, il costo in termini di Mana di questa Carta è medio, 5 Mana, né pochi, né troppi, che la rendono un po' uno spartiacque, perché non si riesce mai bene a capire in quali contesti effettivamente utilizzarla, a livello personale le carte che hanno questo costo in Mana sono tra quelle più incerte, come impiego in combattimento, preferisco costi maggiori o minori, per una migliore definizione di quello che devo effettivamente far scendere in campo...

...in cui potrete effettivamente vedere come si disimpegna Giant Roc, in 1° posizione ho deciso di schierare una Carta possente come Living Lava, mentre lei si collova agevolmente in 2° posizione, sempre pronta a entrare in azione, ma l'ho contornata di diverse altre Carte dalle buone prestazioni, addirittura in questa mini panoramica sembra quasi una di quelle meno prestazionali, dovuto anche al fatto che questa partita si è combattuta in modalità Super-Sneak...
