Strategia per la nuova classifica di Splinterlands - My strategy for Splinterlands' new leaderboard

(English version below)

Punti a favore

I migliori affari li ho fatti proprio acquistando quelle rosse.

(English Version)

In that Spliterlands' season there will be many changes, expecially about: final leaderboard, leagues and trophies.
Practically the access to better leagues will be limited by a new value called Power.
Power is basically the sum of entire value of a player's deck calculated in DEC and it will be not permitted anymore to freely climb the leagues without a required number of power.

New Difficulties for newbies

As you can see it's not so easy to rise from the minor leagues, expecially for a newbie that want to learn the game and grows thanks to his ability, without investing too much money.

Peakmonsters6.jpg

For example my power in this moment is near to 2500, that is enough to reach BRONZE II league (7 Chests), whereas in the last season, with the older rules, and
with the same deck I reached easily the Silver I league (18 forzieri).

For a newbie it could be a bit frustrating at a first glance, but let's analyze more deeply the current situations looking for its pros and cons.

Good points

While in the past you were forced to fight with tough opponents, rising from minor leagues, now you encounter only people with a similar deck level as yours.

Thanks to this rule I managed to rise my rating to a good 3000 without much effort, I have never reached that rating in ten past.

With a higher level I started to earn more DEC from Battle victories, like 10 DEC for victory, very interesting loot, and accordingly to Splinterlands team, if I undertood well, there will be unique leaderboards for every league, with prizes, this time rewarding player's ability, starting from 15 September.

These are good news for newbies but in the meanwhile what can we do to boost our rewards ?

There is another way and I'll show you how I managed to rise quickly from BRONZE II (7 Chests) to DIAMOND III (40 Chests), with a minimum investment of 1.5 - 2 HIVE

I did it thanks to Peakmonsters and RENTING of cards.

Peakmonsters

Peakmonsters, It's a site where you can buy, sell and rent your cards with a Smart Contracts system.
You can login with Keychain and it's very easy to use.
you can deposits HIVE in your profile and they will bne changed automatically in $ (PeakCredits) following the live HIVE price on the market.

PeakCredits are fixed in pair with dollar value so they will not vary according to future HIVE price variations.
In the Peakmonsters cards market prices are always in $, this is a very convenient and useful point. It could be a good choise to always use Peakmonsters instead of Splinterlands native market.

Peakmonsters.jpg

The Strategy

Now I start to show the strategy that I adopted: first of all I deposited 2 HIVE in my profile, they soon were changed in the market cards coins (Peakcredits), necessary to make transactions in the platform.

As you can see below I have now 0.07 $ that corresponds to 0.412 HIVE because in this moment I have already spent 1.6 HIVE for renting contracts.

Peakmonsters0.jpg

Clicking on market you can find all Splinterlands cards, for my strategy I focused on Rare and Epic Gold cards,
Legendary would be very useful but unfortunately I didn't find any at an affordable price, I suggest to check on them too if you have time.

Peakmonsters1.jpg

After I imposed the filters I viewed every cards clicking on the RENT button

Peakmonsters2.jpg

I looked at every renting proposal buying as many contracts as I can to rise my Power and my current league position.

Peakmonsters3.jpg

Useful Tips

The main things I researched in the contracts are the following:

  1. Escrow price
I considered only escrow with 0 or with few millesimal, I don't need escrow for this strategy, it's only another expense here.

  2. Daily fee
I considered a price minor than 1 cent for third level RARE and above, it should be clear that the more the level rise the more the DEC value rise and the power too accordingly. I went over 1 cent only fo some Epic card.

  3. Min/Max Duration
The ideal amount would be 1 day min. but this way you have to find the cards in the last day of the season, there is a risk to not find much contracts at the ending so I considered a duration of max 3 days, so you can look the market in the last days of the season and be safer.
(remember that if you pay 1 cent/day fo three days you'll pay a total of 3 cents, very high for a lower cards like rare and at a low level. Pay attention to the escrow, sometimes can be tough, for example I was making an error considering 0.1 $ as un cent, the escrow are summed in the total at the end 😅).

  4. Status
Of course we will need "Available" if not the card is already rented.

  5. Durations
Pay much attenntion to this number, you have to click on the minus and reduce the maximum number of days to the minimum, hopefully 1 day if you are lucky, if you don't remember this you can rent the card for a large number of days losing you money and gaining a card that for a newbie is completely useless.

  6. View
If you can buy the contract there will be a blue button with RENT CARD, you can click it to procede with the buying and Keychain will pop up to finalize the transaction on the blockchain, look carefully the sum $ before accepting, it's the last time to verify if you have done some mistakes.
Some cards have a Red button instead the blue one, they are rentable cards but temporary unavailable for battle, you can absolutely buy them because we don't need them to fight but only for the original Power.

I did this small memo to help you in the selection of cards:

RARE liv 3 = 3000 DEC
RARE liv 4 = 6000 DEC
RARE liv 5 = 12000 DEC
RARE liv 6 = 21000 DEC

EPIC liv 2 = 10000 DEC
EPIC liv 3 = 15000 DEC
EPIC liv 5 = 75000 DEC

Final toughts

I managed to change my Power from a mere 2500 to a good 251000, gaining the right to enter in the richer DIAMOND III.
I did it with minimum efforts in terms of time and money,
and I 'll open 40 Loot Chests 😋 !!!

Peakmonsters5.jpg

These are the cards I bought/rent to reach this goal

ORO1.jpg

ORO2.jpg

I hope it'll all pay off in the end,

we will see.

If you want to know follow me in the next post where I'll write a report of the prize earnings
