🇬🇧 A few days ago, I went to San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia, Italy) where the tomb of the Holy Father Pio resides, a very suggestive place, but at the same time fascinating even for the less faithful! I could have taken hundreds of photos for the story of the Saint and the beauties that are in the 3 churches that are all nearby, where in one of you can admire the various rooms in which Padre Pio lived, in another church he is present also a museum where he tells his entire history and then the last church, the most modern where the tomb where the saint rests is located in the basement. Although lately, they have moved the tomb to the church where it always was before the current last church was built. I don't know why they made this kind of move! Surely it is a very popular half of the religious faithful, even if due to Covid, the place was not very crowded! I leave you some shots of photos with various descriptions.
🇮🇹 Qualche giorno fa, sono stato a San Giovanni Rotondo (Foggia, Italia) dove risiede la tomba del Santo Padre Pio, un posto davvero molto suggestivo, ma nello stesso tempo affascinante anche per i meno fedeli! Di foto avrei potuto farne a centinaia per la storia del Santo e le bellezze che ci sono nelle 3 chiese che si trovano tutte vicino, dove in una di può ammirare le varie stanze in cui ha vissuto Padre Pio, in un’altra chiesa è presente anche un museo dove racconta tutta la sua storia e poi l’ultima chiesa, la più moderna dov’è nei sotterranei è presente la tomba dove riposa il Santo. Anche se ultimamente, hanno spostato la tomba nella chiesa dove è sempre stato prima della costruzione della attuale ultima chiesa. Non so perché abbiano fatto questo tipo di spostamento! Sicuramente è una metà molto ambita dai fedeli religiosi, anche se per causa Covid, non era molto affollato il posto! Vi lascio alcuni scatti di foto con le varie descrizioni.
