Previous chapters The Fall Black Orange Blue Red Green Yellow

Longun had dreamed of strange wings with long purple feathers that wrapped around her and protected her. The sensations she felt were so real that she struggled to open her eyes and refused to wake up.

A loud laugh broke through the blanket of her dream and jolted her back to reality. She looked around, it took a few minutes before she remembered and understood where she was and what had happened. The yellow room... the path between the various towers... with her hands she smoothed her dress, brightened her hair and began to walk around the room looking at the walls better. With her hand she caressed them feeling under her fingers small protrusions that the naked eye could not see.

Finally you've woken up, you've been sleeping for a long time, but I'm not at all surprised by this.

Longun turned her head, in front of her a man was smiling at her. At first she almost fainted with terror, Dreki was in front of her, the man she had run away from had been taunting her the whole time. Then she noticed something jarring, the man in front of her had one thing Dreki didn't possess...huge purple wings coming out of his back and making him look like an angel.

****Who are you? You look exactly like Dreki, but you're not him. Your smile and your eyes...but most of all you have WINGS!****

A hearty laugh escaped the man's lips, lighting up his features. It conveyed something pure, innocent, very different from Dreki's halo of terror.

My name is Engill and I'm Dreki's twin brother; although the similarities are purely physical as you may have noticed.

Engill...Dreki's twin...he had never heard of him. No one knew of his existence, otherwise the palace gossips would have mentioned him at least once.

Yes my dear, you are right, no one knows of my existence. When my brother took over I was locked up in this tower. On his deathbed, our mother told us about the prophecy, and now, thanks to you, it can come true.

Longun was growing dizzy and confused and could not believe what was happening to her. A thousand questions swirled in her head, but she couldn't voice them.

Your birth is no mystery, when The Old King died, a war broke out between the heirs and Dreki took advantage of it to take the throne. His lust for power had made him insane and he began to seek in alchemy the power he needed to reach the top. In order to succeed on the throne, he sacrificed a part of his heart, from that piece of heart you were born, and he used you to force the King's heirs to kill each other.
He paused, inviting the woman to sit down and get something to drink.
In the prophecy it speaks of the escape of the fruit born of the goodness of one of the twins and the birth of a new city ruled with love.

He smiled again at the woman, clearly seeing how upset she was and how she struggled to believe him. He walked over to her and placed a hand on her cheek.

Close your eyes Longun and let my memories become yours.

The thirst for knowledge that possessed her got the better of any doubts or fears and without further question she carried out that request.

Engill closed hisr eyes in turn and opened his mind. Images of the past bubbled to the surface. Two children playing and laughing, the abandonment of their father who had turned one of them, the death of their mother... Pain, immense pain made her cry, but the gentle touch of the man gave her serenity before starting again with the memories.
The now adult children, the fight between brothers and the Dragon's madness. She saw her birth. She had already been born a woman, and it only took one look for her to fall in love with the Angel. They loved each other from afar, and when Dreki found out, he locked Engill in the South Tower and took away Longun's memories and will, turning her into his slave.

The memories were interrupted, giving way to reality. Engill turned away from her

Now I hope you want to believe me.

Longun looked at him shocked, the memories were slowly resurfacing. That touch had broken even the last remnant of Dreki's magic. She was now complete, whole and in love. Suddenly she stood up throwing herself into the man's arms.

I missed you master of my heart. Forgive me for waiting, but now everything is clear and I can't wait to be one again.

A glance was enough to understand, and a moment was enough to bring their mouths together again in a long-awaited kiss. The yellow room disappeared and a new building began to appear around them. They found themselves catapulted into a courtyard full of flowers and plants. Four columns identical to those of Dreki's palace were formed in the four corners joined by long corridors.

Where are we? It looks like Dreki's Palace. But instead of the central area is this magnificent garden.

Engill looked at her smiling

Yes that's right, it's Dreki's Palace. When you regained your memory, you reactivated his heart and his immortality abandoned him by moving into you.
His madness reached its peak by killing him. What you see is the building from when I was a child and we lived in peace. The Palace has regained its original appearance, abandoning the one built by a tyrant.

The prophecy had finally come true and their new life could begin.
