The birth of Aphrodite
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I present to you my latest watercolor which has as its subject the sea and one of its daughters, the goddess Aphrodite. In Greek legend, Aphrodite arose from the sperm of Uranus, when the genitals of the sky god fell into the water, following his castration.
The blood and the semen became the foam of the waves and suddenly Aphrodite was born from the foam. In the Greek language Aphros means foam and I tried to make a watercolor in his honor.
I share the steps of the creative process, without drawing, and I hope you like my painting.

La nascita di Afrodite
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati nel mio blog. Oggi vi presento il mio ultimo acquarello che ha come soggetto il mare ed una sua figlia, la dea Afrodite. Nella leggenda greca, Afrodite scaturì dallo sperma di Urano, quando i genitali del dio del cielo caddero in acqua, a seguito della sua castrazione. Il sangue e il seme divennero schiuma delle onde e all'improvviso dalla schiuma nacque Afrodite. In lingua greca "Aphros" significa schiuma ed io ho cercato di realizzare un acquarello in suo onore.
Condivido gli steps del processo creativo, senza disegno, e spero che il mio dipinto vi piaccia.
