Glimpses of history - three new watercolors
Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. I have not published articles for two days, the reason is simple, I have been involved in the creation of these three watercolors.
But let's get back to today's post.
As you know I have a strong passion and love for ancient buildings: palaces, architecture, temples, arches and everything that enriches our cultural and artistic heritage.
I cultivate this passion in two ways: teaching and
painting.
School teaching is a transmission and sharing of knowledge and experiences with my pupils with whom I organize workshops outside, in the historic centers.
Unfortunately, the closure we had in Italy, due to Covid, prevents us from this type of outdoor activity, and so I go around alone in search of some beautiful ancient glimpses to paint.
Today I share my latest watercolor paintings, these are three subjects that represent the characteristic places of historic centers of small towns near my city.
This watercolor sketch represents a typical house with laundry hanging out to dry in the sun. I painted figures with clothes from the last century to integrate them into the architectural landscape.
The second watercolor represents a shaded alley that opens onto the facade of a neoclassical church, with columns with Ionic capitals.
The third watercolor is a typical glimpse with large flowered earthenware vases, where the strong sunlight blurs all the elements, merging them together.

Scorci di storia - tre nuovi acquarelli
Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Sono due giorni che non pubblico articoli, il motivo è semplice, sono stato impegnato nella realizzazione di questi tre acquarelli.
Ma torniamo a parlare del post di oggi. Come sapete ho una forte passione ed amore per le costruzioni antiche: palazzi, architetture, templi, archi e tutto ciò che arriccchisce il nostro patrimonio culturale e artistico.
Questa passione la coltivo in due modi: insegnamento e dipingendo. L'insegnamento scolastico è una trasmissione e condivisione di conoscenze e di esperienze con i miei alunni con i quali organizzo delle attività laboratoriali all'esterno, nei centri storici. Purtroppo la chiusura che abbiamo avuto in Italia, causa Covid, ci impedisce questo tipo di attivtà all'aperto, ed allora vado in giro da solo alla ricerca di qualche bello scorcio antico da dipingere.
Oggi condivido le mie ultime realizzazioni pittoriche ad acquarello, si tratta di tre soggetti che rappresentano dei luoghi caratteristici di centri storici di piccoli paesi vicini alla mia città.
Questo schizzo ad acquarello rappresenta una tipica casa con il bucato steso ad asciugare al sole. Ho dipinto delle figure con vestiti del secolo scorso per integrarle nel paesaggio architettonico.
Il secondo acquarello rappresenta un vicolo all'ombra che si apre sulla facciata di una chiesa neoclassica, con colonne a capitelli ionici.
Il terzo acquarello è uno scorcio tipico con grandi vasi in coccio fioriti, dove la forte luce solare sfuoca tutti gli elementi fondendoli tra loro.
Mi auguro che i miei acquarelli vi siano piaciuti.
