Soulbound Cards: Are You Getting Enough of Them?
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post about the state of my collection in reference to the cards in the Rewards set: after several months of play and numerous purchases I am now one step closer to reaching my goal, which is to get them all to the maximum level available for the Silver League.
As can be seen from the splex.gg website, I am only missing one last copy of Jared Scar, which I should be able to buy within a couple of weeks using the proceeds from my renting activity.
Completely different story, however, when it comes to the new Soulbound cards, which, since they cannot be bought or traded in any way, can only be obtained by playing and unlocking the chests within the game.
With these cards, for the first time, I find myself in the condition of being able to achieve my goals by relying solely on the gaming side of Splinterland, not having in any way the option to purchases what I may need.
I have of course set a goal here as well, which is to get these cards to the maximum level available for the Gold League. Why not to that of the Silver League? Well, because I think that goals should always be realistic but also challenging and stimulating. So I want to try to bring these cards to a higher level than I achieved with the previous Rewards set.
Moreover, nothing prevents me from keeping on buying more cards to level them up further as well: as of now, they remain among the cheapest cards available on the market.
To evaluate where I am after about a month and a half, a useful help is provided by the splintercards.com website, and in particular by the tool called "Soulbound cards monitor".
By linking to this page it's possible to enter our username on Splinterlands and see both the number of copies of each card we already have, split between Regular and Gold versions, and the percentage of progress in the different rarity categories.
As you can see from these two screenshots, related to my two accounts @ar7icwolf and @wolf-lord, my completion percentage goes up pretty evenly between both accounts and I can already rely on common cards at level 3/4, rare on average at level 2 and some epic and legendary at level 1, with a couple of exceptions.
Then adding up the cards I own in the two accounts I can see how the completion rates are already quite high, especially for common and rare cards. There is still a long way to go to reach my goal, but when I consider that all of these copies were obtained in only a month and a half of play, I would say that things are definitely progressing well, except for the epic cards, which in some ways seem even harder to obtain than the legendary ones!
I think it's still too early to get into any calculations about how long it will take to reach my goal, but for now I feel absolutely happy and I'm glad that I can already use some of these cards in my battles, especially in those parts of the season where I find myself playing in the Gold League.

Soulbound Cards: Ne Stai Ottenendo Abbastanza?
Un paio di settimane fa ho scritto un post sullo stato della mia collezione in riferimento alle carte del set Rewards: dopo vari mesi di gioco e numerosi acquisti sono infatti, ormai, ad un passo dal raggiungere il mio obiettivo, ossia portarle tutte al livello massimo per la Lega Argento.
Come visibile dal sito splex.gg mi manca solo un'ultima copia di Jared Scar, che dovrei riuscire ad acquistare nel giro di un paio di settimane sfruttando i proventi della mia attività di renting.
Discorso, invece, completamente diverso per quanto riguarda le nuove carte Soulbound, che, non potendo essere comprate o scambiate in alcun modo, possono essere ottenute solo giocando e sbloccando i forzieri presenti all'interno del gioco.
Con queste carte, quindi, per la prima volta mi trovo nella condizione di poter raggiungere i miei obiettivi contando unicamente sul lato gaming di Splinterland, non avendo in alcun modo la possibilità di integrare quel che ottengo ricorrendo ad acquisti o altro.
Anche qui mi sono naturalmente posto un obiettivo, che è quello di portare queste carte al livello massimo disponibile per la Lega Oro. Perché non a quello della Lega Argento? Beh, semplicemente perché penso che gli obiettivi debbano essere sempre realistici ma anche difficili da raggiungere e stimolanti: voglio quindi provare a portare queste carte ad un livello più alto di quello che ho raggiunto con il precedente set Rewards.
Nulla mi vieta, inoltre, di continuare ad acquistare altre carte per livellare ulteriormente anche queste ultime: per ora restano infatti fra le carte più economiche disponibili sul mercato.
Per valutare a che punto mi trovi dopo circa un mese e mezzo di gioco nel potenziamento delle carte Soulbound, un utile aiuto mi è tra l'altro fornito dal sito splintercards.com, ed in particolare dallo strumento denominato "Soulbound cards monitor".
Collegandosi a questa pagina del sito è infatti possibile inserire il proprio nome utente su Splinterlands e vedere sia il numero di copie di ogni carta che già abbiamo, divise tra versioni Regular e Gold, sia la percentuale di progresso nelle varie categorie di rarità.
Come si può notare da questi due screenshots, relativi ai miei due accounts @ar7icwolf e @wolf-lord, la mia percentuale di completamento sale in maniera piuttosto omogenea tra entrambi gli accounts e posso già fare affidamento su carte comuni al livello 3/4, rare mediamente al livello 2 ed alcune epiche e leggendarie al livello 1, salvo un paio di eccezioni.
Sommando poi le carte che possiedo tra i due accounts posso vedere come le percentuali di completamento siano già piuttosto alte, soprattutto per le carte comuni e rare. La strada per raggiungere il mio obiettivo è ancora lunga, ma se considero che tutte queste copie sono state ottenute in un solo mese e mezzo di gioco, direi che le cose stanno procedendo decisamente bene, tranne che per le carte epiche che, per certi versi, sembrano anche più difficili da ottenere di quelle leggendarie!
Penso sia ancora presto per mettersi a fare calcoli su quanto tempo mi occorra, più o meno, per raggiungere il mio obiettivo, ma per ora mi ritengo assolutamente soddisfatto e sono contento di poter già utilizzare alcune di queste carte nelle mie battaglie, soprattutto in quelle parti di stagione in cui mi ritrovo a giocare nella Lega Oro.
