Levelling Up My Collection
Picking up the cover image of a currently suspended series - you can find its last update here - I would like to take this post as an opportunity to recap a bit about my Reward cards on Splinterlands.
In the series "Road to Gold on a Budget" I had indeed planned to level all the cards in the Chaos Legion set related to three elements: Fire, Water and Death, as well as the Neutral cards.
The project proved, from the very beginning, to be very ambitious, and I never doubted that it would take quite some time to succeed.
Things, however, became even more complicated the moment that - a bit unexpectedly - the development team decided to stop distributing Reward cards before their supply ran out: this caused an abrupt change in my plans, since, all of a sudden, the Reward cards that I took so much for granted, and which I had counted on leveling up simply by playing, were instead added to the cards that I needed to buy...
Quite a problem for my stretched finances!
Luckily the price of the cards did not skyrocket, certainly also due to the already very high supply: this allowed me to run for cover and quickly start buying all the copies I needed to bring these cards up to what is (and currently remains) my target level, i.e. maxed cards for the Silver League - and hence also suitable for playing in the lower tier of the Gold League.
After a good month or so, in which I had managed to upgrade both the Common and Epic cards, today I finally succeeded in completing the Rare cards as well.
Taking advantage of a useful tool on the splexx.gg site and choosing as League the Silver one and as expansion the Reward set...
... here I can see my current situation, with 31/33 cards completed and only a couple of Legendaries left to purchase to complete the task!
Sure, this is still over $16 in costs, where many of the cards bought so far cost pennies, but even if I don't get to complete the upgrade of just these two cards, I feel already very satisfied with my current achievement.
The only regret was that I had to sell all my Gold Foil cards from the Reward, since I needed more money and it didn't make sense to keep cards that I couldn't use in battle or level properly anyway.

Continua il potenziamento della mia collezione!
Riprendendo l'immagine di copertina di una serie momentaneamente sospesa, di cui qui potete trovare l'ultimo aggiornamento pubblicato, vorrei sfruttare questo post per fare un po' il punto della situazione delle mie carte Reward su Splinterlands.
Nella serie "Road to Gold on a Budget" mi ero infatti prefissato di livellare tutte le carte del set Chaos Legion relative a tre elementi, ossia Fuoco, Acqua e Morte, oltre alle carte Neutrali.
Il progetto si è confermato, fin dall'inizio, molto ambizioso e non ho mai messo in dubbio che sarebbe stato necessario un bel po' di tempo per riuscire a raggiungere l'obiettivo.
Le cose, però, si sono ulteriormente complicate nel momento in cui - un po' a sorpresa - il team di sviluppo ha deciso di far cessare la distribuzione delle carte Reward prima dell'esaurimento della loro supply: ciò ha provocato un brusco cambio nei miei piani, dato che, all'improvviso, le carte Reward che davo così per scontate e che contato di livellare semplicemente giocando, si sono invece aggiunte alle carte da dover necessariamente comprare...
Un bel problema per le mie finanze striminzite!
Per fortuna però il prezzo delle carte non è schizzato alle stelle, sicuramente anche a causa della comunque già molto elevata supply: questo mi ha consentito di correre ai ripari e cominciare da subito ad acquistare tutte le copie di cui avevo bisogno per portare queste carde a quello che è, e attualmente resta, il mio livello target, ossia carte maxxate per la Lega Argento - e quindi adatte anche a giocare nella parte bassa della Lega Oro.
Dopo un mesetto abbondante, in cui ero riuscito a potenziare sia le carte Comuni che quelle Epiche, oggi finalmente sono riuscito a completare anche le carte Rare.
Sfruttando un utile tool presente sul sito di splexx.gg e selezionando come Lega quella Argento e come espansione il set Reward...
... ecco che posso vedere la mia situazione attuale, con 31/33 carte completate e solo un paio di Leggendarie che mi restano da acquistare per completare l'opera!
Certo, si tratta ancora di oltre 16 dollari di spesa, laddove molte delle carte comprate finora costavano pochi centesimi, ma, anche se non dovessi completare il potenziamento di queste sole due carte, mi ritengo già così soddisfatto del risultato raggiunto.
L'unico dispiacere è stato dover vendere tutte le carte Gold Foil del set Reward che avevo, dato che mi occorrevano più fondi e non aveva senso tenere delle carte che, tanto, non avrei potuto usare in battaglia nè livellare adeguatamente.
La sola carta Gold Foil che ho voluto conservare è stata questa:
