In Medio Stat Virtus
With another fifth place - the position we have achieved the most over the last few months - I couldn't help but think about the famous Latin saying 'in medio stat virtus' (literally, * virtue lies in the middle*) which invites us to moderation and balance.
Now, we would actually much prefer to be greedy and unbalanced, grabbing the top spots, but since this does not seem to be within our reach for the time being, why not find a valid reason to be happy with our frequent fifth places? 😂
Besides, the rewards are good and coming in mid-ranking is objectively a good result, so it's not like there's anything to complain about... but I wanted to use a bit of Latin for the title, so let's get over my ramblings and move on!
I was again about to take home all wins and no losses, but unfortunately one of my opponents had active the bonus that allows you to have 1 more mana available in every game and was able to play against me a stronger formation, which I sadly didn't have access to: not very fair, but whatever.
Fifth place - are we going to start collecting them again? 😂 - still allows us to obtain 1294 merits points, thanks to which we can buy new Gladius cards, and 13,722 staked SPS.

- when the equal opportunity ruleset is in effect, in my experience, the best strategy is not to deploy a creature with taunt, but to trick the opponent into eliminating specific creatures first, such as those with the martyr ability: the result is a crushing victory!
Brawl match by Road2Horizon - @road2horizon never disappoints and annihilates his opponent in what appears to be more of a massacre than a clash, also due to a strong difference in level between the Summoners fielded by the two players.
Brawl match by LibertyCrypto27 - The podium is closed by @libertycrypto27, who once again deploys the unstoppable Byzantine Kitty, one of the most versatile and strongest Summoners in the entire Splinterverse: due to the speed bonus and true strike ability, the EDSF Guild Co-Leader's creatures strike first and never miss, quickly taking full control of the battlefield.
Fifth place and another fine winning streak... exactly like last week 😂 did we fall into a time loop?

Di fronte ad un altro quinto posto - il posizionamento che più di tutti abbiamo raggiunto nel corso degli ultimi mesi - non ho potuto far a meno di pensare al famoso detto latino "in medio stat virtus" (letteralmente, la virtù sta nel mezzo) che invita alla moderazione ed all'equilibrio.
Ora, in realtà noi preferiremmo di gran lunga essere ingordi e sbilanciati, accaparrandoci i primi posti, ma, visto che per ora ciò non sembra essere alla nostra portata, perchè non trovare una valida ragione per essere felici dei nostri frequenti quinti posti? 😂
Che poi le ricompense sono buone ed arrivare a metà classifica è oggettivamente un buon risultato, quindi non è che sia nulla di cui lamentarsi... ma mi piaceva usare un po' di latino per il titolo, per cui facciamoci una ragione dei miei sproloqui ed andiamo avanti!
Anche stavolta stavo per portarmi a casa tutte vittorie e nessuna sconfitta, ma purtroppo uno dei miei avversari aveva attivo il bonus che consente di avere 1 di mana in più ad ogni partita ed ha potuto schierarmi contro una formazione più forte, alla quale io purtroppo non avevo accesso: non molto giusto, ma va be'.
Il quinto posto - ricominciamo a collezionarli? 😂 - ci consente comunque di ottenere 1294 punti di merits, grazie ai quali possiamo acquistare nuove carte Gladius, e 13,722 SPS in stake.

Partita brawl di Arc7icWolf - quando è in vigore il ruleset equal opportunity, nella mia esperienza, la strategia migliore non è schierare una creatura con taunt, ma far sì che l'avversario elimini per primo certe nostre creature, come quelle dotate dell'abilità martyr: il risultato è una vittoria schiacciante!
Partita brawl di Road2Horizon - @road2horizon non delude mai e annienta il proprio avversario in quello che più che uno scontro appare come un massacro, complice anche una forte differenza di livello tra gli Evocatori schierati dai due giocatori.
Partita brawl di LibertyCrypto27 - conclude il podio @libertycrypto27, che schiera ancora una volta l'inarrestabile Byzantine Kitty, uno degli Evocatori più versatili e forti di tutto lo Splinterverse: grazie al bonus alla velocità ed all'abilità true strike, le creature del Co-Leader della Gilda EDSF colpiscono per prime e senza mai mancare il bersaglio, assumendo presto il pieno controllo del campo di battaglia.
Quinto posto e un'altra bella serie di vittorie... esattamente come la scorsa settimana 😂 siamo finiti in un loop temporale?
