Hail to the Hive!
Recently I was traveling a few parts of east India and visited the Andaman Islands. It was a lot of traveling to visit as many scuba diving centres as I could and was almost constantly on the move. These shots were all taken either waiting for ferries between islands, traveling to the ports or waiting to leave whatever hotel I was in. I love hive as it helps me channel creativity into what would normally be dead time. Keeping my eyes open for those moments, those shots.
Above shot was taken while waiting to leave Havelock Island for Neil Island. I had gon on ahead and was waiting for my friend Pushpak to join me.
Above shot was taken on Neil Island shortly before we left on the next pier for Port Blair.
The above shot was taken after we had arrived on Neil Island and my friend pushpak saw another ferry arriving that had a friend of his aboard so we waited to say hi. As we did one of the tricycle luggage cattying porter guys came into view. Needless to say I knew this would make the shot :)
In the above shot I am riding in a tuk tuk on my way to the port. I like taking these shots as I like the window within a window view shots.
and finally the above shot was taken as I was waiting to check out of our little hotel on Neil Island. I saw the row of bicyles and knew what I wanted to capture. It's one of those times where everyone wonders what the hell you are so interested in and why would you be taking photographs of these bikes???? But those of that know , know.
Little do they know how much I love......
