My entry for the #monomad challenge.
Nothing says Wisconsin like a visit to the marshy prairies of the Upper Mississippi River valley. Sure, the humidity and heat of July is miserable. A walk through the thick grasslands is sticky and itchy, with bugs and prickly plants everywhere. And as the brush gets thicker and thicker, one doubts the walk is worth it.
Still, the landscapes and clouds lure you along...always waiting for another shot of the great river's valley...
All the roads lead to a very old landscape...that area called the Driftless. It's an area that avoided the great glaciers of the last Ice Age, and was home to those who roamed this area before the Europeans arrived.
Thanks for checking out my share for the #monomad challenge. I'm always excited to share views of the area on Hive, and sharing it with the #monomad community is always fun.
