My entry for the #monomad challenge.
This point is an area in Grand Marais, Minnesota, known as Painter's Point. It's a place where painters and photographers congregate to take in the beauty of lava rocks and Lake Superior.
There is also a break wall that has been constructed between the prehistoric rock peninsula and a lighthouse that protects ships from the area. Lake Superior, being ever so fierce...
It's another special place on the lake. I can see why artists are attracted to this area. Waves crash, boats float by, 1000 footers off in the distance, and no doubt a spectacular area to watch the sunrise.
Waves, waves, violence, beauty, and repeat again. Have I mentioned how much I'd love to move to this area permanently yet?
