Lisa in the tank - Monomad

This time next week, I will be hopefully downloading my memory cards and tucking into a kebab after spending another day at a local studio to me called Tankspace. I'm currently isolating as I've got covid, but touch wood I am allowed freedom Monday.

Those that follow me will have seen some previous posts of shoots there, but this is the first time I have converted the colour shots into mono..

Here's Lisa... She say's she's not a model.. I say she should be!!!

Facially imo she's very pretty, her skins awesome and needs only very little blemish editing and she knows how to pose... In her words 'I'm not a model, I only come along because I like you all.' She makes me laugh because she's a far better model than she thinks, and certainly better than some that think they're a supermodel!!

A little bit about the studio... It's a very specialist studio.. An industrial unit with a tank full of water in it.. thats it.. But this tank is where the magic happens.

Heated to 38c for the models comfort, lit by 3x rgb led panels and 1x arri light from above, the mono conversion loses a lot of the detail but I'll show you one later.

Us photographers arent in our speedo's we're external to the tank.. Sat in a tent which is attached to the tank to make sure there is no reflections on the glass.. It gets pretty hot and stuffy at times.. and it's advisable not to eat a curry the night before for everybodies benefit!

I've been 3 times now, and the experience and practise is showing... While I was more than happy with my images from the first shoot there, these images are far better I think.. However....

I've just upgraded my camera, Thanks to Hive.. I've had a little power down to buy a Canon R6.. I've gone from a 5D3 to the R6 and changed to mirrorless from DSLR..

While I've had the camera a week, I've not had chance to play with it much, and being isolating this weekend, means I'm stuck indoors.. The most I've done with it is hanging out of my bedroom window attempting to take photo's of planes making the finals into Doncaster -Sheffield Airport...

Do I play with the new camera at this shoot? or do I stick to the faithful that I know like the back of my hand until I'm more at ease with the R6? - Answers on a postcard please!!

As promised, heres a colour one.
