Hello everyone,
Just like everyone else here on Black and White community, I am also a big fan of monochromatic photographs.
Along with Black and White photography, I was thinking about Black and White as an expression lately. Here is my viewpoint about Black and White as an expression.
“No, I'm not colorblind,
I know the world is black and white”
—John Mayer (Stop this train)
This is written by John Mayer in his song Stop This Train. I really love that song, but whenever I hear this song the context of telling the world Black and White is somewhat telling us that the world is not good and I get triggered by this every time😅
According to me Black and White in an expression can also be positive. Just taking the example of world just as John Mayer took in his song Stop this train. The world that we see through our eyes is full of colours. There are infinite shades in this world just like there are infinite choices. Good/Bad, Happy/Sad,
Right/Wrong, there are many choices just like there are many colours. But when I think about Black and White or making the world Black and White that we do in monochromatic photography, I can easily see the simplicity that it creates. No room for infinite choices but all the important information but in simpler way.
That is my viewpoint of this amazing expression Black and White.
I think that the world becomes simple and beautiful in monochrome format. It is also kind of nostalgic to see a Black and White photograph as the cameras 🎥 📷 📸 in their primitive state were also Black and White.
Now we can see how we are connected to Black and White both as Photography and as an expression. It’s a really deep emotion to everyone.
I am really great full for this amazing community here on HIVE about Black and White. Really a great initiative. I really want to thank the creators of this community. 🙏🙏🙏
