Steampunk Model Photoshoot / monomad - my daily dose of b&w

Back to my posts of model photography. It has been a couple of years that I did my last shoot, for obvious and for not so obvious reasons. Maybe when or if my IRL job slows done one day I'll be able to do some more. For now I am vicariously living through editing my previous shoots.

When you think about it - that's actually a good thing. Last time I checked there were about 100'000 photos in my LR catalogue, yet how many of them are edited? Or even weeded through? I am 100 % certain that a good portion of them shouldn't even be there. But in the beginning of my digital photography I was really bad at culling photos, these days I am much better. 'Out of focus? - delete', 'why the hell did I take this photo? No idea - delete'. Seriously, get into the habit, the earlier the better.

I will say though that sometimes even if a photo is slightly out of focus, e.g. the model's eye, I might keep the photo, for a different reason. Maybe I like the pose, the expression, but these will rarely see the light of the internet. Today is one of those rare occasion - one or the other of the photos I am showing you are ever so slightly 'imperfect' - LOL - but imperfection is interesting, right?

This was a photoshoot under a steampunk-ish theme with two different models. Today I am showing you the photos of Heather Stevenson, a wonderful model to work with, and so much more than a model. She is an artist herself and a costume designer and who knows what else. She is always full of ideas, even during a shoot. Just look at how she is climbing and hanging on that wall - wow! Just looking at these make me want to book her again.
You may find out more about Heather on her website or on socials under 'TheCommercialKid'.
