Hola amigos de Hive, atendiendo al concurso Quarator’s photoquest, que en esta oportunidad aborda como temática los espejos, quiero hacer mi participación con dos fotografías que tuve la oportunidad de hacer en una visita a mi amigo @ismaelgranados. Espero les gusten mi fotografías.

Mirrors have always seemed mysterious to me, possibly it has been the seventh art that has created a concept of mirrors deeply linked to the unknown and duality, I like to think of the world on the other side of the mirror, where many surprises could await us, I like to imagine that behind the mirrors there are parallel worlds, other dimensional planes, even that they are a window to the future or the past. Horror movies have been in charge of showing us the worlds behind the mirror as an evil environment, where our evil selves usually live, but isn't there enough evil already in this world? Couldn't that world behind the mirror be even better than the one we live in, based on the idea that everything there is the opposite, what do you think?

Los espejos siempre me han parecido misteriosos, posiblemente ha sido el séptimo arte el que me ha creado un concepto de los espejos profundamente vinculado con lo desconocido y la dualidad, me gusta pensar en el mundo del otro lado del espejo, donde podrían aguardarnos muchas sorpresas, me gusta imaginar que detrás de los espejos existen mundos paralelos, otros planos dimensionales, incluso que son una ventana hacia el futuro o el pasado. El cine de terror se ha encargado de mostrarnos los mundos detrás del espejo como un entorno maligno, en donde usualmente habitan nuestro yo del mal, pero ¿es que no hay suficiente maldad ya en este mundo? ¿No podría ser ese mundo detrás del espejo aún mejor que el que habitamos, basándonos en la idea de que todo allí es lo opuesto, ustedes que creen?

The aged environment in which these mirrors are located invited me to capture my reflection, the irregularity of the surfaces deteriorated by humidity and the passage of time, were captured in the photographs, and with the help of editing I highlighted these irregularities, with shadows, lighting and a scale of black and white with a slightly sepia hue.

El entorno envejecido en el que se encuentran estos espejos me invitaron a capturar mi reflejo, la irregularidad de las superficies deterioradas por humedad y el paso del tiempo, quedaron plasmadas en la fotografías, y con ayuda de la edición resalté estas irregularidades, con sombras, iluminación y un escala de blanco y negro con una tonalidad levemente sepia.

In the first photo you can see reflected in the mirror of a closet different elements such as a rope, a toy plane, a work table, cables, and myself. I really liked this photograph because I managed to reflect my concept about mirrors, to give it a touch of mystery, and even to make this environment a bit creepy. And in the second photograph, where you can barely see my reflection, it is a kind of diffuse vision of that world, a brief glimpse of "Nayshot Through the Looking Glass".

En la primera foto se puede observar reflejado en el espejo de un armario distintos elementos como una soga, un avión de juguete, una mesa de trabajo, cables, y mi persona. Esta fotografía, me ha gustado mucho porque conseguí reflejar mi concepto sobres los espejos, darle un toque de misterio, incluso hacer de este entorno poco tétrico. Y en la segunda fotografía, en donde apenas se puede ver mi reflejo, resulta una especie de visión difusa de ese mundo, un breve atisbo de “Nayshot a través del espejo”
