Today I want to share my observations of the image of a woman in the monuments at Lychakiv Cemetery in Lviv.
Жінка виражає свої емоції яскравіше, ніж чоловік. Коли жінці радісно, вона посміхається, коли сумно- плаче. Іноді її сум виражається в погляді, в очах. Можливо застигає сльоза. Ось такий образ жінки я бачу в цих статуях. Наповнений скорботи, щирого розпачу, вічного спокою.
A woman expresses her emotions more vividly than a man. When a woman is happy, she smiles, when she is sad, she cries. Sometimes her sadness is expressed in the look, in the eyes. A tear is possible. This is the image of a woman I see in these statues. Filled with sorrow, sincere despair, eternal peace.
Іншою для мене є постать Марії з немовлям. Її погляд сповнений надії на вічне життя. Віри в те, що душа живе вічно. Чи важливе тіло без душі?
Я пізнаю людей за їх душею. В очах іноді можна прочитати більше, ніж ця людина може розповісти.
Так і тут на цвинтарі.
Another figure for me is the figure of Mary with the baby. Her gaze is full of hope for eternal life. Believe that the soul lives forever. Is a body without a soul important?
I know people by their souls. In the eyes you can sometimes read more than this person can tell.
Here in the cemetery I also feel it.
