Hello monochrome #Hive friends, this is a post with roads, croplands, ponds, rural things and more... So these photographs are very diverse and will surely serve to give you a glimpse of what rural Montalbán looks like on a foggy morning. This is also my entry to today's #monomad challenge, as is the case with almost all my monochrome work shared by me in #Hive for all of you...
¡Hola amigos monocromáticos de #Hive, esta es una publicación con caminos, sembradíos, lagunas, cosas rurales y más... Así que estas fotografías son muy diversas y seguramente servirán para que ustedes tengan una visión de como son los predios rurales de Montalbán en una mañana repleta de niebla. Esta también es mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy, tal como sucede con casi todo mi trabajo monocromático compartido por mi en #Hive para todos ustedes...
These are lands formerly owned by a single large property and belonging to a single family, but in the middle of the last century much of the land was parcelled up and sold to various owners. This was done in order to better control the pressure of urban growth and for the convenience of management of these lands by the heirs of the previous owners. This division was also influenced by some of the land policies of the time, which encouraged a more equitable tenure of land suitable for cultivation...
Estos son terrenos antiguamente propiedad de una sola gran finca y perteneciente a una única familia, pero a mediados del siglo pasado buena parte de sus tierras se parceló y fueron vendidas a diversos propietarios. Esto se hizo para poder controlar mejor la presión del crecimiento urbano y por comodidad de gestión de estas tierras por parte de los herederos de los dueños previos. También influenciaron esta división algunas políticas territoriales propias de aquellos años, las cuales fomentaban una tenencia más equitativa de los terrenos aptos para cultivo...
Today these lands are still very close to the village and therefore often suffer from vandalism. So, this makes it necessary to give advance notice to the landowner groups so that they can alert their security guards to "avoid shooting you in the ass" :)) when they see you wandering around with a camera in your hand. Fortunately I know some of the current landowners and it has been easy for me to get permission to walk around without being an "easy target".... I'm serious, things around here are sometimes difficult and vandalism is commonplace, so farmers are quite careful to protect their investments as much as possible and avoid anything that would make them less profitable.
Hoy por hoy estas tierras siguen estando muy cerca del pueblo y por lo tanto suelen ser victimas de vandalismo. Entonces, esto hace que sea necesario avisar previamente a los grupos de propietarios para que ellos avisen a sus cuadrillas de guardias de seguridad y estos "eviten disparar en tu trasero" :)) cuando te vean allí deambulando con una cámara en la mano. Afortunadamente conozco a algunos de los actuales terratenientes y me ha sido fácil obtener el permiso para andar por aquí sin ser un "blanco fácil"... Hablo en serio, las cosas por aquí a veces son difíciles y el vandalismo es cosa común, entonces los granjeros tienen bastante cuidado de proteger al máximo sus inversiones y evitar todo aquello que las haga menos rentables.
But leaving aside the issue of safety and possible risks, there is no doubt that the landscape there is very diverse and is an exquisite thing to photograph. As you can see in this sample which I am sharing with you today, I have encountered a landscape beautifully shrouded in mist and with a bewildering variety of elements. For these photos I used my 50mm fixed lens, which is ideal for managing light in cloudy environments and at the same time (except for very specific situations) it is a focal length which serves me for almost everything I need to do in a place like that...
Pero dejando aparte el tema de la seguridad y posibles riesgos, es indudable que el paisaje allí es muy diverso y es algo exquisito para hacer fotografías. Como pueden ver en esta muestra la cual comparto con ustedes hoy, me he encontrado con un paisaje maravillosamente envuelto en nieblas y con una apabullante variedad de elementos. Para estas fotos utilicé mi lente fijo de 50mm, el cual es ideal para gestionar la luz en entornos nublados y al mismo tiempo (salvo situaciones muy puntuales) es una distancia focal la cual me sirve para casi todo lo que necesito hacer en un lugar como ese...
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL NOTE: Photographs captured with my Nikon D7000 DSLR camera in RAW format, then processed in Adobe Camera RAW for adjustments regarding light, sharpening, contrast and depth... They were then exported to JGP format on which minor modifications such as straightening and adding watermarks were carried out using PhotoScape 3.6.3.
NOTA TÉCNICA ADICIONAL: Fotografias capturadas con mi cámara DSLR Nikon D7000 en formato RAW, procesadas posteriormente en Adobe Camera RAW para ajustes relativos a luz, afilado, contraste y profundidad... Luego fueron exportadas a formato JGP sobre el cual se llevaron a cabo modificaciones menores como enderezado y agregado de marcas de agua usando PhotoScape 3.6.3.
