Hello friends, recent days have been one of two ways: either too rainy, or too hot and humid.... So getting out to take photos has been a bit difficult to do.
Hola amigos, estos días recientes han sido de dos maneras: O muy lluviosos, o demasiado calurosos y húmedos... Así que salir a hacer fotos ha estado un poco difícil de hacer.
So I've had to rummage through my archives to pass the time... Fortunately, I found a lot of interesting photos that I didn't remember. Among them I found these macros from a time when I was obsessed with insects in my region.
Entonces me ha tocado hurgar en mis archivos para pasar el tiempo... Afortunadamente, he encontrado muchas fotos interesantes que no recordaba. Entre ellas encontré estos macros de una época en la cual me obsesioné con los insectos de mi región.
So I wanted to share them with you as my entry for today's #monomad challenge...
Entonces quise compartirlas con ustedes como participación en el reto #monomad de hoy...
Some of these photos date back more than a decade... Now that I am looking at these images, I realise what a great diversity of insects there was in this region just 10 years ago... Now there are far fewer species and also the months of occurrence have changed, mostly to slow down.
Algunas de estas fotos datan de hace más de una década atrás... Ahora que estoy mirando estas imágenes, me percato de la gran diversidad de insectos que había en esta región apenas 10 años atrás... Ahora hay bastante menos especies y también los meses de aparición han cambiado, casi siempre para aminorar.
Other things have also changed... I don't think I can now spend hours and hours in hot and humid places, getting stung and enduring humidity and great physical efforts!... In ten years, a lot of things change! ha ha ha :-)...
Otras cosas también han cambiado... ¡No creo que yo ahora pueda pasar horas y horas en lugares húmedos y calientes, recibiendo picaduras y soportando humedad y esfuerzos físicos grandes!... ¡En diez años, muchas cosas cambian! ha ha ha :-)...
Other things remain the same... For example my trusty Nikon D7000 and my old Tokina ATX-PRO 100mm Macro lens... I remember buying both of them precisely to take this kind of pictures.... For a long time it was a real obsession to photograph and identify these insects... That was because I didn't have cats, surely!... Now my new obsession is my cats!... hahahah ;-)
Otras cosas sí que siguen igual... Como por ejmplo mi fiel Nikon D7000 y mi viejo lente Tokina ATX-PRO 100mm Macro... Recuerdo haber comprado ambos precisamente para hacer este tipo de fotografías.... Durante mucho tiempo fue una verdadera obsesión fotografiar e identificar estos insectos... ¡Eso sucedía porque yo no tenía gatos, seguramente!... ¡Ahora mi nueva obsesión son mis gatos!... hahahah ;-)
